In the batting department, the team will be dependent on opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock to do the bulk of the scoring, whereas all-rounder Kieron Pollard will be hoping to provide the x-factor during the innings with his attacking display.

In the bowling department, the focus will be on veteran pacer Lasith Malinga and Jaspreet Bumrah to make early breakthroughs with the new-ball. The duo conceded a lot of runs in the previous game and will be looking to make a strong comeback in this game.

Leg-spinner Rahul Chahar has been in excellent form with the ball and claimed 10 wickets so far this season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Preview

For Sunrisers, this will be another opportunity to move one step closer towards securing their place in the playoffs of the competition. Kane Williamson-led unit comfortably brushed aside Kings XI Punjab in a game played at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

In the batting department, the responsibility will be on the likes of David Warner, Captain Kane Williamson, and Manish Pandey to provide stability, whereas the likes of Mohammad Nabi and all-rounder Vijay Shankar will be tasked to provide big finish to the innings. 

Opener David Warner has been in scintillating form for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this year’s competition. Left-hander is currently leading run-scorer in the competition with 692 runs in 12 matches at an average of 69.20. 

In the previous game, Warner delivered a fabulous performance with the bat and scored 81 off 56 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes. It was largely due to Warner’s efforts that Sunrisers Hyderabad was able to post a mammoth score of 212 runs in 20 overs.  Warner added 78-run partnership with wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha to see Sunrisers got off to an excellent start. He added 82 runs with Manish Pandey to see Sunrisers placed in a great position to post a big score on the board.

In the bowling department, Khaleel Ahmed and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be leading the pace attack, whereas Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi will share the spin department. In the previous game, Rashid Khan was the standout bowler for the side and finished with three wickets to his name.
