The tenth season of Big bash season has begun amidst of the busy Aussie summer with both international and league matches scheduled to take place continuously. Big Bash has new set of rules such as Bash Boost, X-factor player, and Power surge which are all set to debut this season. Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers face off each other in their opening match this season. Melbourne Renegades entered last season as the defending champions but ended up in the last position at the end of group stages with just 3 wins in their 14 matches. Perth Scorchers are the most successful team in Big Bash history with 3 titles so far. After ending inside top 3 positions for the first 7 seasons, they failed to reach the knockouts twice in a row in last 2 seasons. Both teams will look to get a good start this season and will look to seal their place in the top half of the points table.      

Melbourne Renegades Preview

Renegades are led by the limited overs Aussie Skipper Aaron Finch who is vastly experienced in the T20 format. Marcus Harris, Shaun Marsh, and Rilee Rossouw are expected to play a huge role in the batting department alongside their skipper. All-rounders Imad Wasim, Will Sutherland, and Mohammed Nabi can provide excellent depth to their batting line-up.

Renegades have a quality bowling attack in form of Kane Richardson, Josh Lalor, and Jack Prestwidge despite missing the services of James Pattinson owing to national duties.
