Melbourne Renegades Women to win
Tournament: WOMENS BIG BASH LEAGUE 2021 | Format: T20 | Venue: Lilac Hill Park, Perth, Australia | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowThe competition in the points table is getting stiffer in the Women’s Big Bash League 2021. The Adelaide Strikers Women would have a massive challenge at hand against the Melbourne Renegades Women. The Strikers come here with a loss against the Perth Scorchers Women and must win this one to move up. The Melbourne Renegades Women defeated Sydney Sixers Women comfortably in the last game.
Melbourne Renegades Women have looked in tremendous form in the last three games winning them comfortably and making it to the top of the points table. Their batters are in good form and so is the bowling attack. They had lost to Strikers earlier in the season and it would be interesting to see which of the sides manages to win this tough contest.
Tahlia McGrath’s side had a heartbreak in the last game against the Perth Scorchers Women losing it in the Super Over. They lost their nerves in the last ball and failed to score the required run to win the game. As the side takes on the table-toppers McGrath’s team would be aware of the scale of the challenge and shall look to deliver its best.
Dane van Niekerk and Katie Mack are getting starts and the side would need them to convert these into big scores in this game. They have a strong middle order with Laura Wolvaardt, Bridget Patterson, and McGrath and the trio would have to come out of their failures. Madeline Penna and Amanda Wellington shall have to do the big scoring in the final overs against the strong bowling attack that Renegades have.
Their bowlers would be confident after the good show in the last game and early strikes would be needed from Darcie Brown and Megan Schutt in the game and both of them are in good form. McGrath has been expensive, and he would need to keep the scoring under check in the middle overs with Sarah Coyte, Dane van Niekerk and Wellington considering the batting line-up Renegades have

Three wins in a row have put Sophie Molineux’s side at the top of the points table in the tournament. It was a good show by the side in their last game against the Sydney Sixers Women where they won by 12 runs. Molineux would be aiming for a win in this game which would help them retain their top spot.
Evelyn Jones and Jemimah Rodrigues didn’t fare too well in the last game, but the pair has looked good, and a strong start would be expected from them. In the middle order the side is doing well and runs would be expected from the trio of Courtney Webb, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Jess Duffin. Molineux shall look to push up the scoring rate with Josephine Dooley and Carly Leeson.
Their bowlers have been in good form in the last few games and the new ball pair of Molineux and Ella Hayward shall aim to strike early. Kaur has impressed with her tight spells, and she would aim to keep the scoring rate under check in the middle overs along with Leeson and Webb. The presence of Ellie Falconer adds to the bowling options for the side.

It would be slightly overcast skies over Perth on October 31 and fast bowlers like always are likely to enjoy these conditions. The batting conditions would be challenging and batters would have to play to the merit of the ball. The side batting first in this game would need 150 runs to feel comfortable in these conditions.
Lilac Hill Park, Perth is a fast and lively surface and we have seen good performances from fast bowlers in the past. Batters who get their eyes set in have also done well as the ball comes onto the bat nicely allowing stroke play. This is a very difficult venue for the spinners as there is no turn on offer.
We have seen two low-scoring games at this venue this season and batters have found it tough to score runs. Setting up a total at this venue is a big challenge as the ball tends to move in the early overs. The side winning the toss here would have little hesitation in opting to bowl first.
Adelaide Strikers Women have to come out of the shell after two consecutive losses. The last game’s loss in the Super Over would have hurt the side’s confidence and they would have to regroup and deliver a strong performance to win here. Melbourne Renegades Women are looking in sublime form with three consecutive wins and their batting line-up looks in good form. This would put them ahead in this contest.
