Madhya Pradesh did well in the Ranji Triphy this year, only to lose in the semifinal, and the side will look to use that momentum. The Rest of India hasn't won the trophy since 2016-17, and they would like to end this wait.  

Madhya Pradesh has a strong batting line-up; most have had a good tournament this year. They play at home, and the team knows the conditions well. It will add to the side's advantage. The Rest of India's squad also has a strong batting line-up, but their bowling attack hasn't been in the best form.

Himanshu Mantri takes over as skipper of the side in the absence of Aditya Srivastava, and the 2021-22 Ranji champions would like to erase the sad memory of this year's Ranji semifinal, where they went down against Bengal by 306 runs. They have a strong group of players, and the side would like a good performance in this game.  

Himanshu Mantri has been among the runs, and he will like to set up a good opening wicket stand with Yash Dubey. Saransh Jain and Anubhav Agarwal need to anchor the middle order and add runs with Rajat Patidar. Harsh Gawli and Venkatesh Iyer must do well in the lower middle order as they will take on a strong bowling attack.  

Avesh Khan is in good form, and the side will like a good show from him and Kumar Kartikeya with the new ball in this game. Gaurav Yadav and Saransh Jain will look to make it tough for the Rest of India's side in this game. Anubhav Agarwal and Shubham Sharma must do well in the supporting role.

A new combination of players creates a problem for the team, and they are up against a settled team. It will be interesting to see how Agarwal uses his resources in this game.  

Mayank Agarwal is an experienced player, and he will like to offer a good start in this game along with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Sudip Kumar Gharami, Abhimanyu Easwaran, and Yash Dhull make the core of this batting. They will look to add runs in the middle order. The side will also expect Upendra Yadav to make runs down the order with the tail.   

The Bengal pace duo of Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep shall lead this attack, and they must deliver early wickets for the side. Chetan Sakariya and Navdeep Saini are experienced bowlers, and the side will expect them to deliver a good show. Mayank Markande adds the X-factor to this attack.

Captain Roop Singh Stadium, Gwalior, has a flat surface, and runs have been scored in the past. It is one of the toughest wickets for the fast bowlers with little assistance from the track. Spinners do well at this venue as the dry surface allows them to turn the ball sharply.

It shall be excellent conditions to bat on the first two days. The ball comes to the bat nicely. Spinners get into action from Day 3 onward. The side winning the toss in this game shall have little hesitation in batting first.
