Defending Champions Melbourne Renegades will be desperate to end their losing streak when they take on Adelaide Strikers in the 15th match of 2019 Big Bash League at Docklands Stadium in Melbourne on Sunday.

Aaron Finch and co. will need to raise their game with the bat and ball against Adelaide Strikers. Renegades are currently lying at the bottom of the league table with three consecutive defeats to their name.

On the other hand, Adelaide Strikers will be pleased after winning their second game on the bounce. Captain Alex Carey will be hoping that the top-order can start producing runs in the next couple of matches.

Reigning Champions Melbourne Renegades have lost three matches in a row and will need to produce something special in a bid to break their losing streak against Adelaide Strikers.

In the previous game, Renegades managed to post a score of 147 runs, courtesy Aaron Finch’s splendid half-century.

Captain Aaron Finch scored 50 runs off 37 balls with the help of six boundaries. He was well supported by Shaun Marsh, who chipped in with 37 runs off 30 balls with the help of five fours and one six. After the dismissal of Marsh and Finch, Renegades failed to get going in last five overs of the innings.

The team management will be hoping that Finch and Marsh continue their good form in this contest. Shaun Marsh is currently franchise’s leading run-scorer so far in this competition with 134 runs at a strike rate of 132.67.

The biggest letdown has been the form of wicket-keeper Sam Harper, who has struggled to make runs for the side at the top of the innings. In three matches, Harper has only scored 54 runs at an average of 18.00.

Marcus Harris, Daniel Christian and Tom Cooper will be the given the task of delivering quick runs for the side in the later stages of the innings.

Captain Alex Carey has consistently produced decent scores for the side this season. Against Melbourne Stars, Carey came to the crease when the side was in a spot of bother.
