The star of the show for Multan Sultans was James Vince, who scored a scintillating 84 runs off 41 balls with the help of seven fours and six sixes. He was well supported by Umar Siddiq, who scored 53 off 38 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes.

The middle-order failed to produce runs in the previous game as Multan lost the momentum in the last five overs of the innings. Captain Shoaib Malik has been in good form for the side and is franchise’s leading run-scorer with 146 runs in 4 matches. Dan Christian also played a nice cameo at the end to help Multan post 200 runs on the board.

The bowling was a big letdown for the franchise as they could not defend such a big score. Apart from Mohammad Irfan and Junaid Khan, the rest of the bowling lineup leaked a lot of runs and had no answers to batting onslaught produced by AB De Villiers. Peshawar will be hoping that he can put in a big performance after not doing much in the previous three games played in the competition.
