Both teams Mysuru Warriors and Belagavi Panthers are yet to win this season and they will look to win this match and open their account. Each loss pushes the team to the brink of elimination in the league stage. 

Mysuru Warriors failed to chase down the total of 166 runs in their last match against Shivamogga Lions. Krishnamoorthy Siddharth waged a lone battle with a score of 77 runs and no other batsmen provided good support to him in the top order. Their team succumbed to 41/5 at the end of the 6th over the mark and never recovered from there. A total of seven players were dismissed for single-digit scores and they were bowled out for 152 runs in 19.2 overs.

Vijay Kumar took 2 wickets with the ball early on but leaked runs at an economy of over 10 RPO. Devaih, Venkatesh Murthy, and K Siddharth came up with economical spells and also took a wicket each to trouble the opposition. Amit Verma and Anirudha Joshi were not able to trouble the batsmen and failed to maintain pressure on the batsmen consistently. 

Belagavi Panthers lost their first match against Bellary Tuskers by 5 runs in a thrilling encounter. Their batting unit was rocked early on with quick wickets and they were struggling at 54/5 at the end of 11 overs. Abhinav Manohar and Ritesh Bhatkal stitched together an impressive 50+ partnership but were not enough to take their team over the line.

Their bowling unit was impressive in the last match restricting the opposition to just 144 runs. Zahoor Farooqui was the pick of the bowlers with impressive figures of 4-0-26-2 and a run-out to his name too. Avinash D and Dikshanshi Negi took chipped in with wickets at regular intervals and gave runs at less than 6 RPO. Stalin Hoover and M Bhandage had an off-day in the last match and was not able to get wickets and failed to make a mark.

J Suchith – J Suchith bowled a good spell taking 3 wickets in the first match but went wicketless in the second match. He is handy all-rounder capable of contributing with both bat and ball effectively.
