UAE’s big challenge against the Netherlands

Host Netherlands will be looking to get off to a decent start when they take on United Arab Emirates in the opening game of the T20I series in Amstelveen on Sunday.
For the Netherlands, this will be another opportunity to continue their winning streak in home conditions. Captain Pieter Seelaar will be hoping that side can deliver a good show with the bat and ball in this opening game of the T20I series.
On the other hand, Captain Muhammad Naveed will be hoping that the UAE can deliver a decent performance in this four-match T20I series. In the previous meeting between the two teams, Netherlands have managed to come out on top all three occasions in the T20 format.
Pieter Seelaar-led unit has managed to win three T20I games out of five played so far this season. The side was able to produce a clinical performance with bat and ball to beat Zimbabwe in a two-match T20I series played at home.

He produced a crucial half-century to help Netherlands register a comprehensive win over Zimbabwe at Rotterdam. Hidde Ovedijk, Antonius Staal, Vivian Kingma, and Sebastian Braat are new players included in the Netherlands T20 squad for UAE series.
In the bowling department, the side will be relying on the likes of Brandon Glover, Pieter Seelaar and Antonius Staal to deliver breakthroughs with the new ball.

Opener Rohan Mustafa will be looking to do well in this T20I series. He will be keen to make amends for his poor record in the T20 format. Rohan Mustafa will be keen to produce a notable score and help UAE get off to a strong start in the opening game against the Netherlands. The middle-order batsman comprising of Rameez Shahzad, Muhammad Usman and Chundangapoyil Rizwan will need to contribute with runs for the side in this T20I series against the Netherlands.
In the bowling department, the side will be relying on the likes of Muhammad Naveed, Sultan Ahmed and Zahoor Khan to provide crucial breakthroughs with the new ball. Captain Muhammad Naveed has topped the bowling charts for the UAE in the T20 format since February 2017. He has picked up 13 wickets in 9 matches at an average of 15.69.
The wicket prepared for the opening game will be excellent for batsmen. The bowlers will need to put the ball in the right areas to get wickets on this surface. The weather forecast for the game to be played on Saturday is going to be cloudy skies throughout the day.
VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen is going to host the opening T20 game between Netherlands and UAE. The home side has lost their last two T20 games played at this venue. UAE will face uphill task as they have yet to register a win against the Netherlands in the T20 format.
