In the batting department, the side will be relying heavily on the likes of Stephan Myburgh, Ben Copper and Max O’Dowd to deliver the bulk of the runs in this game. Stephan Myburgh and Max O’Dowd played well and managed to put on a 54-run partnership for the opening wicket. Max O’ Dowd was the standout performer with the bat for Netherlands in the opening game of the T20I series. He scored 51 off 35 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes.

Ben Cooper also played well and smashed 31 off 20 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes. He will be looking to continue his rich vein of form with the bat in the next couple of matches. Wicket-keeper Scott Edwards also fought hard till the end and produced a quick-fire 34 runs off 20 balls with the help of five boundaries.

In the bowling department, the side will be relying on the likes of Brandon Glover, Hidde Overdijk and Vivian Kingma to make crucial breakthroughs with the new ball. The bowling trio conceded a lot of runs with the new ball and will need to make a considerable improvement in this game.

Opening batsman Ashfaq Ahmed and Rohan Mustafa put on a 41 run-partnership in the first four overs of the innings. Mustafa played an indifferent inning and scored just 8 runs in the opening game against the Netherlands

Ashfaq Ahmed played exceedingly well for the side and smashed a crucial half-century to see UAE post a competitive total on the board. He scored 54 off 35 balls with the help of eleven boundaries. UAE will be hoping that he can deliver consistent runs at the top of the innings in this series. Wicket-keeper Ghulam Shabber and Rameez Shahzad also put in crucial cameos to keep the scoreboard ticking for the UAE.

Muhammad Usman delivered a late blitz with the bat to see UAE post 181 for 5 in 20 overs. He put on a 56 run partnership with Darius D’Silva to see UAE gain much-needed momentum at the back end of the innings.

Usman scored 52 off 34 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes. He was well supported by D’ Silva, who chipped in with 24 off 15 balls with the help of three boundaries.

In the bowling department, the team will be relying on Captain Muhammad Naveed and Sultan Ahmed to produce wickets with the new ball. In the previous game, off-spinner Rohan Mustafa was the standout bowler for the side and finished with figures of 2 for 26 from his four overs.
