Rohit Paudel's side has made a positive start to this leg of the tournament. They chased a big score against Namibia in the first game, winning it by 2 wickets. It will be a different ball game against Scotland, who look in red hot form. The hosts know the conditions well, and Paudel would like his side to use this advantage.   

Kushal Bhurtel hit a hundred in the last game, and he will be confident. He must set up a big opening wicket stand with Aasif Sheikh. The side will expect a good show in the middle order from Gyanendra Malla, Rohit Paudel, and Kushal Malla in this game as they face a strong bowling attack. Dipendra Singh Airee, Sundeep Jora, and Karan KC must add quick runs down the order.  

Karan KC and Sompal Kami will need to get early wickets for the side, as Scotland's openers are in excellent form. Sandeep Lamichhane is the most experienced bowler on the side, and he will have to put the Scottish batsmen in trouble. Lalit Rajbanshi and Kushal Malla will need to keep things under check.

Scotland Preview

Richie Berrington's team announced its intention in their opening game against Namibia. It was a splendid show from the side as they defeated their opponents by 10 wickets. They are on the top of the points table and have already made it to the 2023 World Cup Qualifier. They will like to continue with this momentum and extend their lead.  

George Munsey played a sensational knock in the last game, and he will look to offer a good start with George Munsey. The middle order is formidable, and they will expect runs from Christopher McBride, Richie Berrington, and Matthew Cross. Brandon McMullen, Michael Leask, and Chris Greaves are good players down the order, and they will be a threat to Nepal's bowlers.  

The bowling attack did an excellent job in the last game, restricting Namibia to 153 runs. Safyaan Sharif and Brandon McMullen bowled tight spells with the new ball and will look to do the same here. Mark Watt and Michael Leask shared 7 wickets between them, adding to their confidence. The side will also expect a good show from Hamza Tahir and Greaves.

Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, has a large outfield with deep boundaries. The surface is good for batting with as the ball comes to the bat nicely. Fast bowlers have to bend their backs on this surface, but the spinners have earned rewards from the track.
