Jason Roy started the chase in blistering fashion scoring 50 runs off just 38 balls with 5 boundaries and 2 maximums sharing a 68-run partnership with struggling Mathew Breetzke at the other end. Skipper JJ Smuts scored a vital 30+ cameo after the good platform set by the openers. JJ Smuts and Ben Dunk scored the fifties in the previous two matches played. Paarl Rocks are on a roll winning their last two matches on a trot. Henry Davids played an excellent cameo of 46 runs after the quick wicket of Cameron Delport. Skipper Faf Du Plessis, James Vince, and Dwaine Pretorius played 20+ knocks to keep the scoreboard ticking in the last match. They have good depth in their batting line-up with the likes of Hardus Viljoen, Isuru Udana, and Mosehle in the lower order. Spinners Bjorn Fortuin and Tabraiz Shamsi strangled the opposition in the middle overs and took 2 wickets each. They had combined figures of 8-0-46-4 in the middle overs. Isuru Udana and Hardus Viljoen were expensive but chipped in with 3 wickets to help their bowling attack. Udana held his nerves in the tense final over to defend 11 runs successfully.
James Vince – Vince is in good form scoring 23, 43 & 86 in the last three outings in the MSL. He will look to continue his purple patch and the score run consistently in the middle order.
Tabraiz Shamsi – Shamsi has been bowling well this season giving away runs at just 6 RPO and he has taken wickets regularly to derail the momentum of opposition batting. Shamsi will trouble the batsmen with his googlies and wrong ones.

The weather looks bright and sunny with very less chances of rain on the match day. The rain may not play a spoilsport in this match.
Port Elizabeth pitch is a good pitch to bat and batsmen will score runs easily as the ball comes onto the bat. Teams batting first scored over 160 runs in all three matches played here.
Bay Giants have won their last two matches here chasing and will look to continue that trend. Strangely teams winning the toss have lost all three matches played here so far this season.
Both Giants and Paarl Rocks have a good batting line-up, excellent pace attack and an experienced spin-bowling group.
But, Bay giants bowling has the home advantage and good record in these conditions to pip the Rocks. We predict Bay Giants to win this match and continue their momentum.
Nelson Mandela Bay Giants will win the match!
