Northern Superchargers Preview

It went down to the last ball but Harry Brook and his Northern Superchargers team-mates won't care as they got back to winning ways on the south coast when they went head to head with Southern Brave on Wednesday evening!

First up it was the bowling attack, led by two New Zealanders, who took five wickets while restricting Brave to 139. Jacob Duffy will be full of confidence ahead of this clash after taking 3/26 while Mitchell Santner chipped in with 2/24.

But it was a team effort and none of the bowling unit will come into this game after conceding more than 1.75 runs per ball in Southampton.

With the bat, the Superchargers have a fluid order but in Zak Crawley, Dawid Malan, Harry Brook and Dan Lawrence they have four clean strikers of the ball.

Birmingham Phoenix Preview

After two defeats, there were plenty of murmurings of apathy and question marks being pointed towards Birmingham Phoenix but their captain stood up against the league leaders at Edgbaston on Tuesday to secure a first win of the season!

As he has done on numerous occasions during his decorated career, Trent Boult struck early, dismissing Will Jacks and Tawanda Muyeye across the first 15 balls and Phoenix will be looking for him to do the same at Headingley.

Countryman Adam Milne also took two wickets while white-ball specialist Benny Howell continued his impressive start to the tournament with two dismissals of his own.

With the bat, skipper Livingstone was simply brilliant and he will look to carry on where he left off after hitting 69 runs from 27 balls. As will Will Smeed at the top of the order who hit a half-century against the Invincibles and there are plenty of other runs to come from this team with Ben Duckett, Joe Clarke and Jacob Bethell in the top five.
