It is the 31st game of The Hundred, 2022 and the Northern Superchargers shall take on the Southern Brave. Both sides have had a poor tournament and are out of contention for a place in the next round. The Superchargers defeated Welsh Fire in the last game while the Southern Brave also come into this game with a win against the Trent Rockets.
Northern Superchargers’ lack of form is best summarized by their show at home this year. The side has lost all its three games at Leeds, and this has come as a huge blow for fans. Southern Brave have displayed their skills well in the last two games. As the two teams battled for their pride it remains to be seen who finishes the tournament on a positive note.
Inconsistency would be the word to define the performance of Faf du Plessis’ side this season. They come here with a 6-wicket win against Welsh Fire. This isn’t going to be enough as the side has already lost its hopes of making it to the next round. Faf du Plessis would expect a good show from his side as they bring an end to their campaign.
Adam Lyth has done well, and he will look to put up a good show opening the batting with du Plessis. The middle order hasn’t been in great shape and the trio of David Weise, Harry Brook, and Adam Hose shall need to build partnerships in this game. They would also expect to see runs from Michael-Kyle Pepper and David Willey in this game.
David Willey and Wayne Parnell were brilliant with the ball in the last game, and they would look to repeat the same show here. Craig Miles hasn’t had a great season and he would like to finish on a high. Adil Rashid and Wiese make it a strong bowling attack and good spells would be needed from them as Southern Brave have big hitters of the ball in the side.

It has been too little too late for James Vince’s side. It has been a poor show for the defending champions this season as they are out of contention for the Eliminator round. The side comes here with a 6-wicket win against the Trent Rockets. This will be the last game for the side this season and Vince would like to finish on a high in what has been a poor show by their standards.
Paul Stirling and Quinton de Kock must fire at the top as poor opening wicket stands have been the norm for the side. Vince, Alex Davies, and Ross Whiteley must do well in the middle order for the side to take on the bowling attack that the Superchargers have. They would also expect a good show from the likes of Tim David, James Fuller, and Rehan Ahmed down the order.
Michael Hogan has been doing well with the new ball and he would aim for a good start with Sonny Baker. James Fuller and Paul Stirling are experienced bowlers and there would be big expectations from them in this game. Jake Lintott and Rehan Ahmed need to come up with good spells as their opponents have a strong batting line-up.

The skies would be overcast over Leeds on August 31. We expect to see a flat surface where batsmen can play their strokes easily. The ball comes to the bat nicely and bowlers have no room for error. The side that bats first here would need more than 160 runs to feel comfortable on this surface.
Headingley, Leeds is an excellent wicket to bat on. The ball comes to the bat nicely allowing batsmen to play their strokes. Bowlers have little margin for error on this wicket as the fast outfield allows batsmen to score runs easily. Spinners find a good bargain from this surface as the game progresses.
Only once has a side won at this venue opting to bat first in the last five games that have been played. This format of the game makes it tough for the sides to make runs and defend it. Hence, the side winning the toss here would aim to put 150 runs on the board.
It will be a battle for pride as both sides won’t progress any further in the tournament. Northern Superchargers’ batting has been in shambles and the side would need to come up with a good show here. Southern Brave has shown good form in the last two games, and they have a strong batting line-up. This will make them favorites in this contest.
