Northern Superchargers to win
Tournament: The Hundred Women | Format: 100-BALL CRICKET | Venue: Headingley, Leeds, England | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowThe 13th game of The Hundred Women’s Competition 2021 between Northern Superchargers Women and the Oval Invincibles Women is expected to be a tough one. Both the sides come here with great form. The Northern Superchargers Women have won two games and saw their last one against the Manchester Originals Women washed away by rain. The Oval Invincibles Women defeated the London Spirit Women in the last game.
The two sides have executed their game plans well registering big victories. Batters and bowlers in both these camps would be confident about their prospects. Northern Superchargers Women would play at home which is a big advantage for the side, and it would be interesting to see if the Oval Invincibles Women are able to overcome this challenge.
Their previous game against the Manchester Originals Women was washed away due to rain. Prior to that Lauren Winfield Hill’s side had won both its games and done so by big margins. Their bowlers have looked in excellent form and the batters too have done well. Hill shall be aiming for the third win of the season in this game.
Jemimah Rodrigues and Hill have scored runs at the top and form a formidable opening pair for the side. In the middle order the side has good strength in the likes of Laura Wolvaardt, Laura Kimmince and Bess Heath. The side draws its strength from the lower order where Hollie Armitage and Alice Davidson Richards are powerful strikers of the ball.
Their bowlers have done well in both the wins and the side would like to see its new ball pair of Linsey Smith and Elizabeth Russell grab early wickets in the game. Alice Davidson Richards and Katie Levick are also looking confident going into this game. Phoebe Graham and Armitage add bowling options for the team.

Dane van Niekerk would be happy with her side’s campaign so far. They have won both the games, and both have been convincing wins. The side defeated London Spirit Women in the last game by 15 runs in what was a good show by their bowlers. This would be a tough game and Niekerk would like her side to stand up to the challenge in this game.
Alice Capsey did well in the last game and shall aim to give the side a good start opening the batting with Georgia Adams who hasn’t done well yet. The side would need runs in the middle order from Grace Wilson, Dane van Niekerk and Mady Villiers. Tash Farrant and Joanne Gardner would have to play the role of finishers in this game.
The side has bowled well in both the games where Shabnim Ismail has showed her experience. She would need to get early breakthroughs for the side alongside Farrant. In Mady Villiers, van Niekerk and Danielle Gregory, they have good variety in the attack and the side shall look for a strong show here.

There is forecast for rains and overcast skies over Leeds on July 31. The conditions would make batting a challenge and batters will have to get their eyes set in to do well. The side that bats first in this game would be happy with a score in excess of 140 runs.
Headingley, Leeds is a good surface for the batters in ideal conditions. The wicket is flat here and this allows batters to play their strokes. There is early assistance for the fast bowlers on this surface and spinners who have variations up their sleeves do well.
The wicket is a good one to chase scores as it doesn’t change its character in the second innings. Setting up a score on this wicket can be a challenge and hence the side that wins the toss is likely to opt for bowling first.
We have seen good cricket from both the teams so far and they would be confident heading into this contest. Oval Invincibles Women are looking good with the bat, and it is the lack of experience in the bowling attack that is worrying for the side. The Northern Superchargers on the other hand have ticked all the boxes so far in the game and this would make them favorites here.
