They come into this game with a big win against Team Abu Dhabi and would be carrying that confidence into this game. The Gladiators on the other hand lost by a big margin against the Delhi Bulls and have displayed indifferent form so far in the tournament.  

Northern Warriors have a batting line-up that has been destroying bowling attacks and their bowlers too have played complimentary roles so far in the tournament. Gladiators have a big challenge at their hands given the kind of form we have seen from them so far. It remains to be seen if the Gladiators are able to surprise Northern Warriors here.

Nicholas Pooran would be extremely excited about the kind of form his side is in at the moment. The side comes here with an 8-wicket win against Team Abu Dhabi where their batsmen and bowlers did extremely well. Pooran would want his side to take forward this moment and win against Deccan Gladiators who are struggling for form at the moment. 

Lendl Simmons and Waseem Muhammad are in tremendous form and they set up a match winning stand in the last game. The same would be expected from them here. Pooran has scored runs and along with Brandon King and Rovman Powell adds strength to the middle order. They have good hitters of the ball in Fabian Allen and Dhananjaya Lakshan.  

Their bowlers did a good job in the last game and the same would be expected from Wahab Riaz and Junaid Siddique with the new ball. Wayne Parnell is a smart customer and he will look to keep the line tight along with Emrit and Dhananjaya Lakshan towards the end of the game.

Kieron Pollard and his men are just not being able to execute their plans well so far in the tournament. They have lost three out of their four games and come here after suffering a 8-wicket loss against the Delhi Bulls. The side will need to regroup and do well as they are up against a tough opponent. 

Mohammad Shahzad and Sunil Narine would have to provide the side with a good start in this game as this has been a problem area for the side in this tournament. The powerful middle order of Cameron Delport, Azam Khan and Pollard will have to fire in the game. Pollard did well in the last game and he would carry this confidence. 

Bowlers have disappointed the side so far in the season and they would require a good start from Ravi Rampaul and Imtiaz Ahmed. Imran Tahir and Narine have lot of experience and they will need to use it in this game. Delport and Anwar Ali add variety to this attack and they will need to check their line and length.
