Pune Devils come into this game with their confidence shattered. It was a poor show from their batsmen who didn’t even manage to score 6 runs an over. Most of their batsmen haven’t been able to match up to the pace of this format. It remains to be seen if they are able to win this game by a big margin and keep their hopes alive.

Nicholas Pooran would be happy with the way his side is playing at the moment. They come here with a 3 run win against the Deccan Gladiators in what was a pure entertainer. With four back to back wins they are in a positive frame of mind. They have already qualified for the playoffs and Pooran would want his players to win this game and keep the momentum going. 

Lendl Simmons and Waseem Muhammad have been in sublime for and they would be looking to do the big hitting opening the batting. The middle order has players in form with Pooran and Rovman Powell scoring runs. With Brandon King and Fabian Allen to follow the side packs punch in its batting.   

Wahab Riaz has bowled economically and he would look to strike early in company of Junaid Siddique with the new ball. Wayne Parnell and Fabian Allen did a good job in the last game. Rayad Emrit and Dhananjaya Lakshan have been expensive and the side would be expecting a better show from them.

Pune Devils Preview

It was a disappointing game for Nasir Hossain’s side against the Delhi Bulls where they went down by 8 wickets, their fourth consecutive win of the tournament. The side could manage only 57 runs batting first. Their chances of qualification into the next round looks slim and they will need to win this game by a huge margin to keep their hopes alive. 

Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Kennar Lewis will have to provide the side with an electrifying start here. Chadwick Walton has been a big disappointment and needs to score runs in the middle. Alex Davies has to make good contributions down the order alongside Devon Thomas and Nasir Hossain. 

Mohammad Amir has stood out with the ball so far in the tournament but has found little support at the other end.  Munis Ansari will have to do well with the new ball. Karan KC too has struggled and the side would be expecting a good show from him along with Ahmed Raza and Monir Hossain.
