Bet NowThe competition in Group of the qualification round at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 has intensified. The 10th game between Oman and Scotland would be an interesting one to watch out for. Oman comes here with a heart-breaking loss against Bangladesh while Scotland registered an easy win over Papua New Guinea to sit on the top of the points table for the group.
Scotland has won all the three games they have played against Oman in the past. Their batting line-up looks in good form and the side would have to leverage this here. Oman would be playing in conditions they are familiar with and shall look to make good use of it. The sides match up well and this would make the game interesting.
Zeeshan Maqsood would be extremely upset with the performance of his side in the last game against Bangladesh. Their nerves got better of them as the side lost the game by 26 runs from a winning position. It is now a must-win game for the side and Maqsood would like to see a spirited show from his team as they have never defeated Scotland in the past.
Jatinder Singh and Aqib Ilyas have done well though the latter missed out in the last game and the pair would need to offer a good start here. It is the middle order that would need to stand up to the challenge and runs would be expected from Kashyap Prajapati and Maqsood who got starts in the last game. Ayaan Khan, Sandeep Goud, and Mohammad Nadeem will have to make contributions down the order for the side to win.
Kaleemullah and Bilal Khan have shown good promise with the ball and a good start to the game would be expected from them with the new ball. Fayyaz Butt and Maqsood will need to make good use of the conditions and trouble Scottish batsmen with their variations. Ilyas and Mohammad Nadeem have been expensive so far and better lines would be needed from them.

Kyle Coetzer’s side has done well to win both the games so far. They come into this game with a 17-run win over Papua New Guinea. But they still can’t afford to lose this game as Bangladesh and Oman are breathing down their neck in terms of run rate. Coetzer would want his players to stick to their game plan and make it to the Super 12 with a win here.
George Munsey has done well with the bat, but the side would want to see Kyle Coetzer strike form in this game. The middle-order looks good with Matthew Cross and Richie Berrington scoring runs in the last game. They would need to set up a strong platform and allow the likes of Calum MacLeod, Chris Greaves, and Mark Watt to do the big hitting towards the end.
Josh Davey stole the show in the last game with his 4-wicket haul in the last game and he would aim at a similar show sharing the new ball with Bradley Wheal. Mark Watt and Michael Leask have bowled tight lines and they would look to execute their game plan well. They would expect good support from Alasdair Evans and Chris Greaves who have appeared rusty.

There are predictions of clear skies over Al Amerat on October 21 and we are likely to see a warm evening. The wicket has played slow, and batsmen have to play to the merit of the ball at this venue. The side batting first in this game would be happy to put 170 runs or more on the board.
Al Amerat Cricket Ground has a flay surface and is generally considered good for batting. The outfield is fast and allows easy boundary scoring. Fast bowlers have had a tough time on this wicket in the past. Spinners on the other hand enjoy these conditions as the ball tends to take a sharp turn.
Three out of the four games played at this venue have gone in favor of the sides batting first. The wicket has shown signs of slowing down as the games have progressed making run chases difficult. The side winning the toss is likely to opt for batting first on this wicket.
Oman would be under pressure due to their loss in the last game. Their middle-order looked in poor shape in the last game and this problem has to be addressed here. Bowlers too would need to do well in the death overs. Scotland would be confident after back-to-back wins and their batting line-up looks in good form and this would make them favorites to win here.
