The home will be bitterly disappointed to lose the one-day series to Australia at home. The side still has an opportunity to show that can deliver the goods to beat Australia. The duo will need to deliver runs with the bat after not doing much in the previous game played against Australia.

Australia will look towards their in-form opening batsman Aaron Finch, who has accumulated 359 runs at an average of 179.50 with two centuries to his name. Finch notched up a crucial half-century in the previous game played in Abu Dhabi. He added 84 runs with Peter Handscomb to rebuild the innings for Australia after losing Usman Khuwaja and Shaun Marsh inside Powerplay overs.

Finch was well-supported by Peter Handscomb who chipped in with 47 runs off 43 balls to see Australia post a competitive total on the board 

Usman Khuwaja, Shaun Marsh and Glenn Maxwell have contributed with credible performances for Australia in this one-day series. It was certainly Maxwell’s story this time around as all-rounder smashed 71 off 55 balls with the help of eight fours and a six. Australia managed to register a good score on the board due to Maxwell’s late blitz with the bat.

In the bowling department, pace bowler Pat Cummins made early breakthroughs with the new-ball to see Pakistan reeling in the chase. Cummins finished with three wickets from his eight overs. Leg-spinner Adam Zampa bowled well and finished with four wickets to his name.
