Pakistan Women will be looking to finish their campaign on winning note when they take on Thailand women in the 19th match of ICC Women's T20 World Cup at Sydney Showground Stadium on Tuesday.

Chasing 137 runs on a sluggish pitch wasn’t going to an easy task, Pakistan openers Muneeba Ali and Captain Javeria Khan started the chase well and were scoring 5 runs over until pacer Shabnam Ismail dismissed  Muneeba Ali in the third over on 12. In the next over, Omaima Sohail was run-out by a duck after a brilliant piece of fielding from Laura Wolvaardt. Few overs later, All-rounder Nida Dar was trapped right in front of the stumps by captain Dane Van Niekerk to see Pakistan women lose their third wicket with just 26 runs on the board.

Captain Javeria Khan put on a 29-run partnership with Aliya Riaz to provide a glimmer of hope to the side. But she was dismissed in an unfortunate manner to see Pakistan women lose their fourth wicket in the 10th over.

Javeria Khan played well and scored 31 runs off 34 balls with the help of four boundaries. All-rounder Aliya Riaz produced valiant innings for the side and fought hard till the end. She found no support from another end. She finished the innings with the top-score of 39 not out off 32 balls with the help of three fours and one six.

In the bowling department, medium-pacer Diana Baig delivered a splendid new-ball spell for Pakistan and dismissed premier players like Lizelle Lee and Dane Van Niekerk. She was the pick of the bowlers on display and picked up 2 for 19 in his four overs.

Struggling Thailand Women will need to produce something special in a bid to upstage Pakistan women in their final fixture of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. The side looked decent in their opening T20 World Cup game against West Indies. In the next two games, Thailand was comprehensively beaten by stronger teams like England and South Africa.

In the batting department, the side will be relying on the likes of Nattakan Chantam, wicket-keeper Nannapat Koncharoenkai and Naruemol Chaiwai to produce the bulk of the runs. In the previous game against South Africa Women, the batting trio perished for single-digit scores to see Thailand get off to a poor start.
