Tournament: Indian Premier League 2021 | Format: T20 | Venue: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, India | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowIndian Premier League 2021 has entered its most interesting phase as the points table is taking shape. As Punjab Kings and the Delhi Capitals battle it out in the 29th game of the season, this would be an important game for both the sides. Punjab Kings come here after a confident win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore while Delhi Capitals continued with their good run defeating the Kolkata Knight Riders in the last game.
The problem with the Punjab Kings has been their consistency as they haven’t been able to manage two consecutive wins so far this season. Their bowling attack has struggled in most games and this is creating problems for the side. It remains to be seen if they can even it out against the Delhi Capitals after going down against them earlier in the season.
KL Rahul would be excited with the performance of his side in the last game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. It was an all-round effort from the side that led them to a 34-run win in the game. Rahul would want his side to carry on with the same flow something they haven’t been able to manage this season. Delhi is a tough opponent and Kings would have to be in their best form to win this one.
Rahul is in great form and the side would be expecting a better show from youngster Prabhsimran Singh who missed out in the last game. Chris Gayle played well in the last game and the side would want to see more consistency from Nicholas Pooran and Deepak Hooda. With Harpreet Brar and Chris Jordan in the line-up batting department looks in good shape for the side.
It was a welcome performance from their bowlers in the last game and the side would be expecting similar performance here. Mohammad Shami and Riley Meredith have to offer the side good start in this game. Ravi Bishnoi and Brar bowled well in the last game and similar show would be expected from them. Jordan will have to come up with a better show as he has been expensive in most games so far.

It has been a good campaign so far for Rishabh Pant and his men. They have won five out of the seven games they have played and defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets in what was a conformable win in the last game. Pant would like to continue on that upward trajectory and defeat the Punjab Kings for the second time this season.
Batting looks rock solid at the moment as openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw are having a great time with the bat. They will look to provide a good start here. Pant has looked in good form and together with Shimron Hetmyer and Steven Smith add punch to the middle order. Axar Patel and Marcus Stoinis with their hitting abilities make this a formidable line-up.
The new ball pair of Kagiso Rabada and Ishant Sharma comes here with their confidence high and a good show would be expected from them. Axar Patel has bowled well and youngsters Lalit Yadav and Avesh Khan would be confident after their good show in the last game. Punjab has a very strong batting line-up and Delhi bowlers would need to be at their best in this game.

May 02 would see another hot and humid day in Ahmedabad and we expect it to be another belter of a track where there would be little for the bowlers. The ball would hit the bat hard creating several run scoring several run scoring opportunities for the batsmen. The side batting first would need 190 runs to feel comfortable.
Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad has been a paradise for batsmen with a flat surface and lightning fast outfield. Batsmen can hit through the line without any fear on this surface. Fast bowlers would get some assistance in the early part of the game. Spinners have enjoyed a good run here as the ball turns sharply.
The wicket has been a good one at this venue so far and we have seen sides put up huge scores on the board. The track hasn’t changed its character much in the second innings and setting up a total is bit of a challenge. Hence the side that wins the toss would have little hesitation in bowling first on this surface.
Punjab Kings come into this game with their tails up as they have defeated one of the best teams this season. But the side has been plagued with inconsistency especially with the ball and this would be a real challenge for them in this game. As far as Delhi Capitals are concerned they have almost all bases covered at the moment. It is expected to be a tight game but Delhi would start ahead and be favorites to win.
