The 6th match of the Czech Republic T10 Super Series, 2020 between Prague Barbarians Visigoths and Prague CC Kings will be an intense battle between two of the best sides in the group. Both the teams have played two games so far and won a game each. Their qualification into the group qualifier would depend on this game and we are likely to see a good show from both the sides. Prague Barbarians Visigoths have a problem with their batting as their middle order looked in extremely poor form in the last game and they will need to overcome this in the next game. As for the Prague CC Kings they threw away the second game on the opening day from a winning position which they will look to avoid and have to play good cricket against a strong opponent.

Prague Barbarian Visigoths Preview

Yashwantha Salian’s side had a mixed bag on the opening day. They had started as one of the favourite sides in the tournament and lived up to the expectations with a 10-wicket win against the United CC but lost their second game against Bohemian CC by 8 wickets. Salian will need to lift the spirits of his side going into this game. Their strong opening pair of Sumit Pokhriyal and Sahil Grover did well with the bat in both the games but the middle and lower order let the side down in the second game. Amritpal Rai, Bilal Samad and Charles Thambi will need to do well with the bat in the next game for the side to win against an opponent that is looking in good form. Their bowling attack was inconsistent on the opening day. Prem Nandivada and Chandrakumar Meher will need to pick wickets with the new ball in the next game. Harsha Chaganty, Sumit Pokhriyal and Ravi Sangam looked good with the ball and they will need to maintain the same form for the side to emerge victorious.

Prague Barbarian Visigoths Predicted Playing XI:

Yashwantha Salin (c), Sahil Grover, Amritpal Rai, Sumit Pokhriyal, Chandrakumar Meher, Charles Thambi, Rahul Rungta, Ravi Sangam, Bilal Samad, Prem Nandivada, Harsha Chaganty

Prague CC King Preview

Arun Ashokan would be upset with his side’s performance in the last game against Bohemian CC where they lost from a position of strength. They had done well against the United CC to win the game by 20 runs. As they take on a strong opponent in the next game the skipper would be looking for a fighting performance from his side. Hilal Ahmad and Sharan Sundareswaran look in good form with the bat at the top of the order and the side would expect another good start from them. Sudesh Roy Dias is also looking in good form but the side will need the likes of Arun Ashokan, Prakash Sadasivan and Sivagnanam Gnanatheeswaran to do well in the middle order as they are up against a quality bowling attack. Sudesh Roy Dias and Sameera Maduranga are in good form with the ball and this is something that will boost the confidence of the side ahead of the game. Skipper Ashokan along with Martin Glew and Sharan Sundareswaran will need to provide good support to their main bowlers in this game.

Prague CC King Predicted Playing XI:

Arun Ashokan (c), Hilal Ahmad (wk), Sudesh Roy Dias, Sameera Maduranga, Martin Glew, Nishanth Valluru, Sharan Sundareswaran, Prakash Sadasivan, Suditha Udugala, Sudhir Gladson, Sivagnanam Gnanatheeswaran

Weather Conditions

June 14 would see cloudy skies at Prague and there is also forecast for rain. The pitch is a difficult one to bat on as the ball is skidding off the surface and also keeping low occasionally. There is good assistance for seam bowlers and any score upward of 90 runs would be a fighting total here.

Venue Details

A lush green outfield with a seaming track makes Vinor Cricket Ground, Prague a good venue for seam bowlers. Batsmen who have the ability to hit the long ball have done well here as the grass cover makes it difficult to score runs here through the park. Spinners struggle to get wickets here.

Toss: To Bowl

In the first four games played at the venue the side chasing the scores emerged winners on three occasions. It hasn’t been the easiest of tracks to bat on with a heavy outfield. We foresee the skipper winning the toss to prefer bowling first on this track and look for early wickets.
The two sides are evenly matched going into this game. Prague Barbarians Visigoths surely have two of the best openers but beyond that the batting hasn’t done well and this is one of their biggest weaknesses at the moment. The Prague CC Kings on the other hand showed their skills in both the games they have played and have a batting line-up that can bat deep. There isn’t much separating the sides at the moment but Kings’ depth gives them slight edge.
