00.0United CC’s herculean challenge against Prague Barbarians Visigoths
Prague Barbarians Visigoths to win!
Tournament: Czech Super Series T10 League | Format: T10 | Venue: Vinor Cricket Ground, Prague | Toss: To Bat
Bet NowIt is the first game in the Czech Republic T10 Super Series, 2020, and Prague Barbarians Visigoths would be up against the United Cricket Club. Both the teams pack quality talent in their camps and this is likely to make this game very interesting. It will be the first game of the tournament and both sides would be looking to make a positive start. The 10-over format adds to the uncertainty in the game and it will be interesting to see which of the two sides is able to hold on to its nerves.
The Prague Barbarians Visigoths are one of the powerhouses of the game in the Czech Republic and pack a very strong T20 squad and they are starting this tournament as one of the favorite sides. The United Cricket Club isn’t far behind and they bring in a young and energetic group of players. The United CC is likely to throw up a stiff challenge for their more powerful opponents in the game.
Yashwantha Salian would be confident going into this game as in the build-up to the league his side had played well in the previous tournaments. They have a good mix of powerful hitters whose skills would come handy in the game. Yet this is a new format and the captain wouldn’t like his players to be complacent going into this game.
Sumit Pokhriyal and Yashwantha Salin are the backbones of their batting and the two will need to do well. Pokhriyal’s international experience adds to the side’s batting strength. They have good batting to follow in the likes of Amritpal Rai, Chandrakumar Meher, and Charles Thambi who will look to make the best use of the 60 balls in the innings.
In terms of their bowling attack, Rahul Rungta and Ravi Sangam are the two most experienced players in the side and they will be looking for early wickets in the game. The side will need the likes of Vedavyas Krishnan, Prem Nandivada and Bilal Samad to bowl tight lines for a win.

Abhimanyu Singh’s side is one of the youngest teams in Czech cricket and they are up against a formidable opponent in the game. Singh would be looking to lead his side from the front in this game and play positive cricket. A victory in this game would do a world of good to their confidence for the rest of the season.
Abhimanyu Singh and Vamsi Elugula are the two main batsmen for the side and the team would need a good start from them in the game. In Chetan Sharma and Umesh Kanyal, they have a promising middle order and they will need to stand up to the challenge. The likes of Pramod Bagauly and Neelesh Pandit will need to do the big-hitting towards the end of the innings for the side.
They have a big weakness in their bowling as Saurabh Await is the only bowler who brings in some reputation to the table and most of the other players haven’t played much of competitive cricket. The skipper would like to see a good show with the ball from Amit Pangarkar, Kumal Deshmukh, and Chaitanya Parchure in this contest.

It will be an overcast condition at Prague on June 13 with chances of rain and this is likely to offer assistance to the fast bowlers early on. The green cover on the surface and grass on the outfield will also assist the fielding side. Any score in the range of 100 runs would be a difficult one to chase on this surface.
Vinor Cricket Ground, Prague is a beautiful ground with a slow outfield due to the thick grass cover. The smaller size of the ground does allow the batsmen to play their strokes in the air but the bounce on the surface and the lateral movement does assist the fast bowlers. Spinners haven’t done well at this venue in the past.
In the 10-over format of the game the side that bats first always has the initiative and can dictate the course of the game. But the conditions would be slightly difficult for the batsmen given the pitch and weather conditions. Thus the skipper winning the toss would have little hesitation in bowling first in this game.
It is the inaugural game of the tournament and hence there would be pressure on both the sides to perform in this game. United Cricket Club doesn’t have much to showcase in terms of experienced players and the side will have to play out of its skin to win this game. The Prague Barbarians Visigoths on the other hand are a highly experienced side with several international players and going into the game they would definitely start as favorites to win it.
