Kusal Mendis and Will Jacks will be the ones to set Capitals on the right track with a solid opening partnership. Even if one of them falls early to the likes of Willey or Topley, the other needs to stay on the crease longer.

Rossouw and Theunis de Bruyn follow at number 3 and 4 respectively. With one of the openers on the crease, these middle-order batsmen would find it easier to score runs and build partnerships.

Rilee Rossouw hasn’t been in great touch lately and the game against MI Cape Town will be crucial to assess his form.

With the kind of batting firepower Durban have got, they should have been much higher in the standings. In their recent game that was washed out, the Super Giants bagged 3 wickets in the power play against the Sunrisers. 

That is a good sign for Durban coming into this match. This is because, in their previous outings, the bowlers had failed big time. Before the Sunrisers game, Durban Super Giants failed to defend 178 runs against Joburg.

It was so bad that the bowlers managed to pick up just 2 wickets as the Joburg skipper scored an unbeaten 113 off 58 balls. And before that, in their first encounter against Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Durban ended up conceding 210 runs for 2 wickets bowling first.
