Peshawar Zalmi to win
Tournament: Pakistan Super League 2021 | Format: T20 | Venue: Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowIt is the 17th game in the Pakistan Super League 2021 and Peshawar Zalmi would restart their campaign as they take on the Lahore Qalandars. Zalmi had done well in the previous leg of the tournament where they had won three out of their five games while the Lahore Qalandars come into this game with a thrilling win over the Islamabad United in the last game.
Lahore Qalandars have now moved to the top spot on the points table with a win in their previous game. The side would be happy with the performance of its bowlers and middle order in the last game. For Zalmi it would be a fresh start to the tournament and it remains to be seen if they are up to the challenge.
Wahab Riaz’s side finds itself well placed as they restart their campaign. However, this will be a completely new beginning for the side and they won’t be able to count on their past performances. Lahore is a competitive side and Riaz would want his players to produce their best game here.
The side would need a strong show from its openers Kamran Akmal and Imam-ul-Haq in this game. In the middle order the side would see some rejig and David Miller is expected to play and he will have to set up partnerships with Sherfane Rutherford and Shoaib Malik. It hadn’t done well earlier in the season. With Haider Ali and Wahab Riaz to do the big hitting towards the end the batting looks good.
With the bowling attack the side would need Mohammad Imran and Riaz to provide the side with a good start. Mohammad Irfan brings in vast experience to the table and he would have to bowl well in tandem during the middle overs alongside Saqib Mahmood and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman.

Sohail Akhtar couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season after the long gap. They won a thriller off the very last ball of the game after the game seemed to have slipped out of their hands. This win would have surely pumped up the mood in the camp and the side would look to continue with the momentum.
Fakhar Zaman who missed out in the last game shall look to set up a good partnership with Akhtar who looks in good form. In the middle order Muhammad Faizan, Mohammad Hafeez and Ben Dunk got their starts and the side would expect better show from them. Rashid Khan won the game with the bat for the side and along with Tim David and James Faulkner adds depth to this line-up.
James Faulkner and Shaheen Afridi were slightly expensive in the last game and shall look forward to a better show here. Rashid Khan was miser as ever and he will be the person to watch out in the next game. The side would also look for tight bowling from Ahmed Daniyal and Haris Rauf.

The skies would be clear over Abu Dhabi on June 10. We expect to see a slow track where the ball isn’t expected to come on to the bat easily. Batsmen will need to be cautious in their shot selection here. A score of 160 runs or more would be a good total on this surface.
Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi is a large ground and the outfield is very fast but the track is slow which creates doubts in the minds of the batsmen. The conditions here are tough for the fast bowlers. Spinners do well at this ground as the ball turns sharply often surprising the batsmen.
The track looked a bit slow in the last game played here. Setting up a target here would be a big challenge for any side. Thus we expect the skipper winning the toss in this game to opt for bowling first and aim at dismissing the opposition for a small total.
Pressure would be on Peshawar Zalmi to perform in this game. Their past performances would count little here and the side would need its middle order to fire in this game. As for the Lahore Qalandars they come here with a confidence boosting win and have momentum on their side and this would put them nose ahead of Zalmi in this game.
