Peshawar Zalmi will be looking to carry momentum forward when they will face Islamabad United in the 21st game of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Dubai on Sunday. 

When the last time both side met earlier in the tournament, Islamabad United managed to beat Peshawar Zalmi by 12 runs in Sharjah.

Reigning Champions Islamabad United managed to break their one-match losing streak with a much-needed win over Karachi Kings in their last match, courtesy of Asif Ali’s late blitz. 

On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi will be keen to extend their lead at the top of the league table. The side is certainly peaking at the right time in the competition and has notched up two wins on the trot. Peshawar Zalmi beat Multan Sultans by six wickets to maintain top spot in the competition.

Opener Imam-ul-Haq has been consistent performer for the side at the top of the order so far this season. Imam scored 39 off 34 balls with the help of two fours and a six. Reigning Champions Islamabad United produced a crucial win over Karachi Kings to get back to winning ways in the competition. The franchise could certainly go the top of the league table if they beat Peshawar Zalmi in this game.

Wicket-keeper batsman Luke Ronchi once again got Islamabad off to decent start. He scored 26 off 21 balls with the help of three fours and a six. Ronchi is franchise’s leading run-scorer with 224 runs in 7 matches at an average of 37.33. He also has scored two half-centuries so far in this year’s competition.

Cameron Delport hasn’t done much with the bat so far in this year’s competition. He has scored only 76 runs in 7 matches at an average of 10.85.
