Tournament: Abu Dhabi T10 League 2021 | Format: T10 | Venue: Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowIt is the 1st Eliminator game in T10 League, 2021 and the Qalandars would taking Team Abu Dhabi in what is a do-or-die battle for both the sides. The Qalandars come here with a loss against the Delhi Bulls where their batsmen and bowlers both failed to live up to the potential. Team Abu Dhabi on the other hand booked a berth for itself in this round with a convincing win against the Bangla Tigers.
Team Abu Dhabi has lacked consistency and their star-studded batting line-up has often let the side down. This would be worrying for the side as they are up against a team that has looked formidable. In the earlier game between the two teams Qalandars had won it by 9 wickets and it remains to be seen if Team Abu Dhabi is able to turn the tables in this game.
The side suffered its first loss of the tournament in the last game and Sohail Akhtar would like to treat it as a wakeup call. His side batted poorly to lose the game by 9 wickets against the Delhi Bulls where their bowling attack was torn apart. They had won against Team Abu Dhabi earlier and Akhtar would like his side to draw inspiration from that win.
The side would depend on its Top 3 to perform as the opening pair of Tom Banton and Sharjeel Khan have done well and the side would be looking for a good start from them here. Akhtar too has looked good and along with Ben Dunk needs to do the big hitting. Samit Patel, Shahid Afridi and Chris Jordan are good hitters of the ball and would be required to do well here.
It was a bad day with the ball for the side but Sohail Tanvir did well and he will look to grab early wickets alongside Sultan Ahmed. The side would however expect a better show with the ball from the likes of Chris Jordan, Samit Patel and Danyal Ahmed. Afridi brings in lot of experience and shall have an important role to play here.

Luke Wright would be happy as his side had gained form at the most important stage of the tournament. They bowled well in the last game to win against the Bangla Tigers by 21 runs. But this would be a very tough contest as Qalandars had inflicted a heavy loss on them. Having done well in the last two games Wright would look to guide his team to a win.
Chris Gayle will need to bat well as he has been inconsistent and needs to do well with Paul Stirling who comes into this game after a good knock. Wright also played well in the last game and he would have to do the big hitting with Joe Clarke and Jamie Overton. Ben Dukkett and Najibullah Zadran can play good knocks down the order.
Rohan Mustafa and Obed McCoy bowled extremely tight overs in the last game to guide their side to a win and they would look to repeat the same show here. Tom Helm was expensive with the new ball and he can’t afford to make the same mistakes against Qalandars. Naveen-ul Haq and Overton would be tasked with bowling tight spells in this game.

The skies would be mostly clear in Abu Dhabi on February 05 with the odd clouds. As the tournament has progressed the pitch has become better to bat on. Bowlers aren’t finding too much of support from this surface and the side that bats first in this game should be targeting a score of 130 runs.
Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi has a large outfield but it also has one of the fastest outfields and this allows lots of boundary scoring opportunities to the batsmen. The conditions here are tough for the fast bowlers but in this tournament spinners have been doing well as they get some turn and bounce
Chase the score and win the game has been mantra of sorts in this edition of the tournament with sides chasing the score winning 17 out of the 24 games played. Knowing the target score always puts the batsmen into an advantage hence we believe the skipper winning the toss would like to opt for bowling first.
There would be pressure on both the camps as a loss here would be the end of the tournament for either side. Team Abu Dhabi comes here with a massive win but the side still has struggled with the consistency of its top order. Qalandars have looked one of the best sides apart from their loss in the last game. With a more consistent batting line-up they would start slightly ahead of Team Abu Dhabi.
