The rookie openers in Saim Ayub and Usman Khan showed a lot of promise and talent with the bat against Peshawar Zalmi.  Saim looked good in his first outing for Quetta Gladiators and smashed 35 runs off 31 balls. He was well supported by Usman Khan, who showed fluency with the bat and scored 28 runs off 23 balls.

Cameron Delport has been wretched form with the bat and will be replaced by Faf du Plessis for this game.

Azam Khan, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz will be given the task of scoring quick runs in the last ten overs of the innings.
