Usman Khawaja would aim for a good start in the season and end their 8-season drought in the tournament. They finished 4th on the points table last year as key players were inconsistent. Khawaja will fancy his side's chances against South Australia. The Queensland skipper likes leading front the front and would aim for the first points of the season.  

Usman Khawaja must score runs at the top and set up a big partnership with Sam Heazlett. Marnus Labuschagne at No. 3 adds solidity to this batting lineup, and he will look to build partnerships with Joe Burns and Matthew Renshaw. Jimmy Peirson and Jack Wildermuth are good finishers in this format and need to score runs down the order.  

Michael Neser and  Jack Wildermuth have to make good use of the new ball as their opponents would have some nerves with a new batting lineup. Mark Steketee, Matthew Kuhnemann, and Matthew Willans make it a well-balanced attack, and good spells would be expected from them.

Travis Head's side had managed to win just one game last season. They struggled with the bat and the ball, which they must get out of their minds. The captain shall hope for a better show this year and expect the new-look squad to do well. It won't be easy against Queensland, and South Australia must play their best game to win.  

Openers Harry Neilson and Jake Weatherald will have a big responsibility on their shoulders, and they must do well in this game. Travis Head and Alex Carey bring a lot of experience to the table and have to play big knocks. Jake Lehmann shall have to do the big hitting down the order with Liam Scott and Nathan McSweeney.  

Bowling was a big problem for the team in the tournament's last edition. Harry Conway and Benjamin Manenti shall have to deliver early wickets for the side in this game as Queensland have big games in their batting lineup.
