Bet NowWe have already witnessed great performance in the IPL 2020 and it has been a testimony to the kind of fan following and reputation this tournament has built up over the years. Royal Challengers Bangalore sitting on the second spot on the points table with three wins in four games would be taking in table toppers Delhi Capitals in the 17th game of the season. The two sides have started the tournament on the right note and would be looking to keep up the momentum.
Royal Challengers Bangalore are coming into this game after a massive win over the Rajasthan Royals and with their captain Virat Kohli hitting form the side would be high on confidence. The Delhi Capitals defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders in the last game and shall be looking to retain the top spot with a win in this game. Given the context of this game is expected to test the nerves in both the camps.
Virat Kohli’s side is looking in great shape with dominating 8-wicket victory over the Rajasthan Royals and they are now second placed on the points table. This would be a confidence booster for the side which has been known for being stuck at the bottom for the last few seasons. Their record against the Delhi Capitals has been one of the best they have had against any team in the tournament and Kohli would like to continue with the same show in this game.
Their batting looks in great shape with openers Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch in great form and the side would be expecting a good start from them in this game. Kohli finally got runs in the last game and this would surely boost the confidence for the whole team. He along with AB de Villiers makes this middle order formidable and they would look to lay a strong platform for the likes of Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar and Gurkeerat Singh to use the long handle.
With the new ball Isuru Udana will need to bowl tighter lines and pick early wickets in the company of Washington Sundar. Navdeep Saini has been on and off with his form and the side would need a better show from them in this game. Yuzvendra Chahal has bowled brilliantly and the side would expect a strong show from him in this game. Adam Zampa hasn’t been able to get his pitching right and he will need to bowl smartly against Delhi’s hard hitting batsmen.

Shreyas Iyer would be supremely confident going into this game after the 18-run victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders which has put them on the top of the points table. The side did well with the bat but Iyer would be looking for a better show from his bowlers who nearly threw away a well-deserved victory with poor bowling in the latter overs. Having won against RCB twice in the last season the side would be confident ahead of the game.
The opening pair of Prthivi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan looks in great form and they put up a good start in the last game. The pair would hope to repeat the magic in this game as well. The middle order is formidable with Shreyas Iyer and Rishab Pant coming into this game with runs under their belt. With Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer to follow there is good firepower in this batting line-up.
Their bowlers had a bad day in the last game leaking 210 runs and shall need to come up with a better show in this game. Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje need to bowl tight spells with the new ball. Nortje stood out with his performance in the last game. Ravichandran Ashwin, Stoinis and Harshal Patel will need to contain the strong batting line-up that RCB has. Amit Mishra hasn’t looked at his best and the side would be expecting a better show from him.

The skies over Dubai would be clear on October 05 and this should make it good conditions for batting. We have already seen lots of runs being scored on this ground as there is no margin for error as far as the bowlers are concerned. The side that bats first would have to target a score of around 170 runs to be able to defect it successfully with the dew around.
It is a large outfield at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and this is the reason we haven’t seen the kind of six hitting as we have seen in other venues. The track is however a good one to bat on. Fast bowlers don’t really enjoy bowling here as there isn’t much for them on this surface. However, spinners do well as the longer boundaries make it difficult or the batsmen to hit them.
Dew has been a massive factor at Abu Dhabi so far and bowling in the second innings is quite a challenge. Bowling is easy here when the pitch and the outfield are dry and most teams have thus preferred to bowl here upon winning the toss. We expect the same in this game and the side that wins the toss is likely to opt for bowling first.
Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have by far been two of the best sides in the tournament and they rightly deserve to be on the top of the points table. Royal Challengers Bangalore has a strong batting line-up but their bowlers have not done well as a pack which is worrying for the side. Delhi Capitals have a slightly stronger batting line-up with big hitters of the ball among their ranks. It will be a close contest but Delhi’s batting offers them edge in this contest.
