Bet NowRajasthan Royals would start their IPL 2020 campaign where they take on Chennai Super Kings in the 4th game at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The Royals have made several changes to their squad and shall look to start well in the season. Chennai Super Kings have already started the season on a high defeating Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener. This would serve as a huge confidence booster for the team.
The Royals have had a pretty ordinary record against CSK and lost the last four out of five games played between the two sides. With several new players in the team it will be interesting to see if they are able to turn the odds this season. For Chennai Super Kings this game would be all about maintaining the same momentum going into the next game.
It will be a big challenge for Steven Smith who gets to lead the side once more. The side has gone through several changes for this season and it would be interesting to see how the former Australian skipper marshals his resources in this game. Their record against Chennai hasn’t been great in the last few seasons and it would require a good effort from the team to win this contest.
Absence of Jos Buttler in this game is a big blow to their batting and the side would need a good start from Sanju Sampson and Manan Vohra up the order. They have good balance in the middle order with Steven Smith, Mahipal Lamror and Robin Uthappa in the side. With David Miller and Ben Stokes down the order this batting line-up has two of the best hitters to complete the proceedings for them in the game.
Jofra Archer will be expected to pick wickets with the new ball partnering with Jaydev Unadkat at the other end. The side has an inexperienced bowling attack and will need good show in the middle overs from Shreyas Gopal and Ankit Rajpoot. Varun Aaron looks the best choice for the fifth bowler in this game and it remains to be seen if he is able to make good use of his pace.
Best Batsman – Steven Smith
Best Bowler – Jofra Archer
Steven Smith (c), Sanju Sampson (wk), Manan Vohra, Mahipal Lamror, Robin Uthappa, David Miller, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Ankit Rajpoot, Varun Aaron

MS Dhoni’s side has started well in the season with a brilliant win against the Mumbai Indians. The 5-wicket win which came after five consecutive losses against Mumbai would have boosted the confidence in the camp. They had few issues with the batting which Dhoni would like to get sorted in this game. He would like his side to draw inspiration from their wonderful record against the Royals going into this contest.
Openers Shane Watson and Murali Vijay went out cheaply in the opening game and they will need to provide a better start in this game. In the middle order Faf du Plessis and Ambati Rayudu played brilliantly in the last game and the side would expect a similar show from them against Rajasthan. They have a very strong lower order comprising of Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav all of whom are known for being great hitters in this format.
In the bowling department the side did a fantastic job in the last game with Sam Curran and Deepak Chahar bowling a tight spell with the new ball. Imran Tahir is likely to come into the side in this game and he will add to their bowling strength. The side has good strength in the spin department with Piyush Chawla and Jadeja adding variety to this attack and they will look to trouble the Royals’ batsmen.
Best Batsman – Shane Watson
Best Bowler – Imran Tahir
MS Dhoni (c & wk), Murali Vijay, Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, Deepak Chahar, Piyush Chawla, Imran Tahir

It would be clear skies and a humid evening at Sharjah on September 22. Batting conditions would be good as the track has always produced big scores. Batsmen can easily play the ball on the rise and bowlers will need to use their variations well here. The side batting first would need a score in excess of 170 runs to feel comfortable here.
Sharjah Cricket Stadium is one of the best batting wickets in the world and several high scores have been made here. It is a venue that batsmen like as the ball comes to the bat easily and also aids them with a fast outfield. Fast bowlers have always struggled on this wicket while spinners tend to enjoy the turn they extract from the track.
Dew factor would be an important consideration for both the sides at the toss. Being a small ground it is always a challenge for spinners to bowl with a wet ball. Most teams have so far preferred to chase here and hence we expect the side winning the toss to put opposition into bat and get them out for a small score.
Chennai Super Kings gave made a promising start like they have done several times in the past and the side would be looking to continue with the same momentum in the next game. Rajasthan Royals have struggled in the last few seasons of the league and shall look for a positive start here. The side’s bowling attack lacks depth and this will be a big challenge for them. Chennai have a team in good form and have more all-rounders in their team and this will make them favorites in this contest.
