Royal Challengers Bangalore came into this IPL as one of the strongest teams with a lot of big Indian and foreign names. They have suffered three defeats in the three matches they have played so far. And they have suffered two morale crushing defeats at the hands of Chennai Super kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad this season.

They were bowled out for less than 120 runs in two matches. AB de Villiers 70* and Virat Kohli`s 46 against Mumbai has been the only telling contribution with the bat so far. Their bowlers were smoked all around the park last match and ended up conceding 231 runs. Yuzi Chahal has been picking up wickets at regular intervals but leaking runs in the last two matches. They might look to make a lot of changes in their playing XI in this match.

Rajasthan Royals too have lost all their matches played so far this season. But they have been in the better position in all the matches before succumbing at the end. They almost came back strong last match after losing first three wickets for 14 runs. Rahul Tripathi and Ben Stokes played superb knocks to make a fight and help their team to come back into the contest. Jofra Archer`s big hitting is a big plus for the team going forward.

Their bowlers bowled superbly in the first 10 overs holding a strong CSK line-up to run rate below 6 RPO. Jofra Archer was once again the star with the ball bowling a superb spell both in the powerplay an death overs.  Jaydev unadkat seems to struggle to find momentum and was taken for 28 runs in the last over which seemed to be the difference at the end of the match.

Rahul Tripathi – He played an excellent attacking knock of 39 runs off 24 balls last match after quick fall of wickets. His ability to maneuver the field while powerplay may tempt RR to open with him. 

Jofra Archer – Archer is turning out to be the MVP for the Rajasthan royals. He was excellent with both the bat and ball last match with match figures of 4-1-17-2 & 24*(11)
