Scotland kicked off the tournament with a huge win over Germany as they scored 234 runs batting first. However, in the very next game, they suffered a batting collapse against Jersey and had half of their team back in the hut for just 84 runs.

Considering the current form of the Italian bowlers, Scotland could get in trouble if they don’t bounce back quickly and find their form. George Munsey and Ollie Hairs will be opening the innings for Scotland.  In the middle-order, they’ve got Matthew Cross and skipper Richie Berrington.

This is a great looking top 4 and Scotland should be expecting a much better performance from them against Italy. The batting lineup is very deep with Chris Greaves and Mark Watt making significant contributions at numbers 7 and 8. They fought well against Ireland and played an attacking brand of cricket against Jersey. The top order of Justin Mosca, Ben Manenti, and Wayne Madsen looks in great touch at the moment. All three of them stepped up and delivered impactful performances in their last outing.

Also, the reliable middle-order batsman Marcus Compopiano also came to the party with a 22-ball 44-run knock at number 6 giving Italy just the finish they needed.

They are facing a strong bowling attack that features some experienced T20 bowlers who’ve played all around the world. The challenge is a big one but Italy look promising enough to deliver another good fight. Their bowlers have been mighty impressive.

Skipper Gareth Berg has picked 6 wickets in the last two games while Harry Manenti has picked 5.
