Scotland Women are coming on the back off a disappointing 34 run loss in yesterday's match against Bangladesh Women, where they failed to chase down 152 runs and were bowled out for 118 runs in 19 overs. This is the first time the Scottish side has failed to chase down a target in this series, previously they chased 134 and 142 runs with ease.
The Scottish side has been spot on with their preparations for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, with a strong top heavy batting lineup but they are over reliant on them to do bulk of the scoring.
Kathryn Bryce has led the way with 98 runs and alongside her opening batter Katherine Fraser scored 84 runs and Darcey Carter has also chipped with 79 runs. But the real concern has been their middle order Sarah Bryce and Ailsa Lister will be key in holding the innings from one end and also accelerating when needed.
In the bowling department left arm spinner Kirstie Gordon has been phenomenal with 5 wickets in 3 matches, averaging 13.2 and going at under 6 runs per over. Kathryn Bryce with 4 wickets lead's the pace attack. An area of concern for Scotland is the form of Abtaha Maqsood, she hasn't been at her best in the middle overs.

After taking a heavy beating in the hands of the Scotland Women in the series opener, where they lost by 9 wickets, the Dutch side bounced back in an emphatic way pulling off one of their biggest win's against a full time nation in Bangladesh.
Batting first, Netherlands managed to score 162/5, a well structured innings from them where they attacked in the powerplay overs scoring 43 runs, then scored at a constant rate of 7-7..5 runs per over in the middle phase and accelerate in the end overs.
Heather Siegers was the stand out scoring 52 runs, while Phebe Molkenboer (29 runs) and Sterre Kalis (28 runs) got off to starts but couldn't convert into big ones. Babette de Leede (16 runs in 7 balls) and Robine Rijke (18* runs in 10 balls) provided the much needed flourish in the end overs.
Then they managed to defend the score successfully restricting Bangladesh to 154/8, the chief architect of this win with the ball was Heather Siegers who picked up three key wickets. Silver Siegers also bowled economically finishing with figures of 2/24.

The weather at Edinburgh on Wednesday is expected to be cool and damp, with a temperature of 14°C. High humidity at 84% and a 65% chance of precipitation ensure rainy conditions, accompanied by a moderate breeze of 14 km/h.
The pitch at Grange Cricket Ground has favoured the batters and is an excellent batting track where the ball comes onto the bat nicely with even bounce. While spinners who can hold onto their line & lengths have been rewarded well. The last four matches played at this saw a total of around 160 being par, while batting first and anything under 150 has been chased down with ease.
Score Prediction
If Scotland Women Bat 1st - 155-170 runs
If Netherlands Women Bat 1st - 145-160 runs
It has been an even steven's series where the team batting first won two matches, while the team chasing won two matches, the surface stays true right throughout the game and chasing is a lot easier than batting first at the Grange Cricket Club.
