They will want to add another win to their bag and get close to securing at least one spot in the playoffs.

After winning the toss and putting Paerl Royals into bat, the bowling department immediately sent the dangerous Jos butler back to the dressing room. Picking up wickets at regular intervals ensured the Royals did not get to a huge score, restricting them to 127. Aiden Markram and Roelof van der Merwe were the peak of the bowlers picking up 2 wickets each.

With such a small target to chase down, the Sunrisers got off to a really good start. Chasing down the target in 18.2 overs gave them the win and sent them right to the second spot in the points table. Jordan Hermann was the top scorer with 43 runs in 39 balls.

Joburg Super Kings Preview

After winning the previous match, this is not the way Joberg Super Kings would have wanted to continue. In what was realistically one of the worst batting performances in the tournament so far, Super Kings find themselves at the bottom of the table and in dire need of a consistent run if they want to make it to the playoffs.

Put into bat first; the Super Kings got off to the worst start losing a wicket on the first ball of the match. With a procession that followed, they found themselves from 70-2 at the end of the powerplay to 90-8 by the end of the 10 overs. Getting bowled out for 122 in 15.4 overs was extremely disappointing. The only positive was the getting back in the form of captain Faf Du Plessis who scored 51 off 22 balls. 

The bowling department could not do much, given the low score and the sublime batting wicket at hand. The opposition breezed past the score in 13 overs. The bowlers were helpless but still managed to pick up 4 wickets. Lewis Gregory picked up 1 wicket, giving away just 12 runs in his 2 overs.
