Bet NowHost Sri Lanka will be looking to complete a clean sweep when they take on West Indies in the third and final game of the one-day series at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
In the previous game, Sri Lanka delivered a clinical performance with bat and ball to clinch the one-day series. Captain Dimuth Karunaratne will make sure that the side is not complacent and can maintain their focus and intensity in this dead rubber.
On the other hand, West Indies will need to come up with better plans in a bid to earn a consolation win in this final game. Captain Kieron Pollard will be hoping that the premier players can raise their game with bat and ball in the series finale.
The home side registered a massive 161-run over West Indies, courtesy splendid centuries from Avishka Fernando and Kusal Mendis. With this result, Sri Lanka has taken 2-0 lead in the three-match one-day series. The side will not make any changes for this dead rubber.
In the batting department, the side will be looking towards the likes of Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis and Kusal Perera to produce big runs in this series finale. In the second game, rookie opener Avishka Fernando was the star of the show with the bat and finished the innings with the top-score of 127 runs off 123 balls with the help of two boundaries. He put on a record third-wicket partnership of 239 runs with Kusal Mendis to help Sri Lanka post a mammoth 345 runs in their allotted 50 overs.
Besides Fernando, Mendis also found form with the bat and notched up his second century in limited-overs cricket. He scored 119 runs off 119 balls with the help of 12 boundaries. Thisara Perera, Wanindu Hasaranga and Isuru Udana produced quick runs in the later stages to see Sri Lanka push their score close to 350 runs.
In the bowling department, the side will be relying on Nuwan Pradeep to make crucial breakthroughs with the new ball. The spin duo of Wanindu Hasaranga and Lakshan Sandakan will have to pick up wickets for the side in the middle phase of the innings. In the second game, both the spinners bowled well and claimed three wickets each.

The visitors have suffered from inconsistency with the bat and ball in this three-match one-day series. West Indies have relied heavily on two or three players to deliver the goods. Kieron Pollard and co. will need to produce their best cricket in order to avoid a whitewash in this one-day series. The side will make changes to their playing XI for this game.
In the batting department, the side will be depending on in-form players like Shai Hope, Nicholas Pooran and Roston Chase to deliver the bulk of the runs.
Opening batsman, Shai Hope has been the standout performer with the bat for West Indies in this series. He has accumulated 166 runs at an average of 83.00. In the second game, Shai Hope played well and finished the innings with the top-score of 51 runs off 65 balls with the help of five boundaries.
Nicholas Pooran and Roston Chase once again failed to deliver notable scores after getting off to decent starts. Pooran scored 31 runs off 41 balls with the help of three boundaries, whereas Chase chipped in with 20 runs off 30 balls. Sunil Ambris, Darren Bravo and Kieron Pollard perished for low scores in the previous game played at Hambantota.
The bowling unit has looked heavily reliant on the likes of Sheldon Cottrell and Alzarri Joseph to provide crucial breakthroughs. In the previous game, Cottrell picked up four wickets, while Joseph finished with figures of 3 for 57 in his 10 overs. The rest of the attack has failed to put pressure on the Sri Lankan batsmen in the one-day series.

Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele is going to host the third one-day game between West Indies and Sri Lanka. Since 2011, Sri Lanka have won seven out of eight one-day matches played against West Indies at home.
Based on the past records, the side that wins the toss, would be looking to bowl first and restrict the opposing team to a modest total. Majority of the day-night games played at this venue have been won by sides batting second.
Based on the current form, Sri Lanka will be firm favorites to win their third and final game of the one-day series. With the likes of Avishka Fernando, Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis in excellent form, Sri Lanka will be determined to produce another strong batting display at Pallekele.
