Host Sri Lanka will be looking to complete a clean sweep when they take on West Indies in the third and final game of the one-day series at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

In the previous game, Sri Lanka delivered a clinical performance with bat and ball to clinch the one-day series. Captain Dimuth Karunaratne will make sure that the side is not complacent and can maintain their focus and intensity in this dead rubber.

On the other hand, West Indies will need to come up with better plans in a bid to earn a consolation win in this final game. Captain Kieron Pollard will be hoping that the premier players can raise their game with bat and ball in the series finale.

In the batting department, the side will be looking towards the likes of Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis and Kusal Perera to produce big runs in this series finale. In the second game, rookie opener Avishka Fernando was the star of the show with the bat and finished the innings with the top-score of 127 runs off 123 balls with the help of two boundaries. He put on a record third-wicket partnership of 239 runs with Kusal Mendis to help Sri Lanka post a mammoth 345 runs in their allotted 50 overs.

Besides Fernando, Mendis also found form with the bat and notched up his second century in limited-overs cricket. He scored 119 runs off 119 balls with the help of 12 boundaries. Thisara Perera, Wanindu Hasaranga and Isuru Udana produced quick runs in the later stages to see Sri Lanka push their score close to 350 runs.

In the bowling department, the side will be relying on Nuwan Pradeep to make crucial breakthroughs with the new ball. The spin duo of Wanindu Hasaranga and Lakshan Sandakan will have to pick up wickets for the side in the middle phase of the innings. In the second game, both the spinners bowled well and claimed three wickets each.
