Tournament: VITALITY T20 BLAST 2020 | Format: T20 | Venue: County Ground, Hove, England | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowVitality T20 Blast has a wrecked start with weather conditions playing a big spoilsport so far. 8 of 9 completed matches ended in no result due to rain so far. Both Sussex and Hampshire`s opening match were abandoned respectively. Sussex match last less than innings with Sussex batting innings stranded mid-way. Hampshire will be thanking the rain gods as their match seemed to go in one direction towards the opponents. With less than an over remaining for mandatory DLS rules to be applied rain halted the match. Both teams will look to win this match and get their first victory out of path with weather forecast being good.
Sussex openers got them off to a good start with their attacking opening partnership. Philip Salt teed off with 41 runs off 22 balls while Luke Wright scored 32 runs off 25 balls. Their batting order collapsed from 83/1 to 95/5 to be left stranded at 116/5 at 15.2 overs before rain arrived.
They have strong pace quartet with the likes of Aaron Thomason, George Garton, Tymal Mills and Ollie Robinson. Will Beer and Danny Griggs will form an excellent spin duo for the team. They have a good bowling attack with both pace and spin departments in good stead.
Top players to bet on:
Philip Salt – Philip Salt started the match on an attacking note with his 40 runs off 22 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes. He dominated the opening partnership with Luke Wright.
Ollie Robinson – Ollie Robinson has been in the England squad for the Test matches recently but is yet to break into the playing XI. He will look to put on a good showing in these agmes to break the door open.

Hampshire scored just 139 runs in their 20 overs against Kent. They were reduced to 28/3 at the end of the power play. Weatherley (68 runs) and Lewis McManus (26 runs) shared a 70-run partnership to bring some stability to their innings. Their batting unit needs to bat more sensibly and post a good score on board.
Their bowling attack was brutally assaulted by the Kent openers as they leaked 52 runs in just 4.1 overs before rain took over the game. Their pace trio of James Fuller, Chris Wood, and Ryan Stevenson need to be more disciplined with their line and lengths early with field restrictions in play. Mason crane will be the lone spinner in the playing XI this match too.
Top players to bet on:
Weatherly – Weatherly played a superb knock of 68 runs off 47 balls to build the innings from a spot of bother to end with a respectable score on board. He smashed 6 boundaries and 2 sixes and finished his innings at a strike rate of nearly 140.
Mason Crane – Crane is a leg-break and he has the big responsibility of manning the spin department single-handedly. Mason Crane will be tough bowler to face in the middle overs owing to his flight and guile.
George Munsey, Tom Alsop, Sam Northeast (c), Joe Weatherley, Lewis McManus (wk), James Fuller, Ian Holland, Scott Currie, Chris Wood, Ryan Stevenson, Mason Crane

Hove has a much improved weather for this week with just 10-20 % chances of rain and we expect it won’t make a big impact in the game.
Hove has a good balance between the bat and ball and we can expect the average score to be around 150-170 runs. Spinners may get a little more purchase out of the track than the faster bowlers.
Chasing teams have 4-1 win-loss record in this venue last season and we expect both captains to field first if they win the toss.
Sussex got off to a good start but were brought down by their fragile middle order while Hampshire were lucky enough to get shared points from the first match from the brink of loss. Sussex has attacking batsmen at top which might be a big advantage for the team as they can put any opposition on back foot. We expect Sussex to win this contest owing to their strong batting line-up and home advantage
SUSSEX will win their first match.
