Bet NowSydney Sixers Women would take on the Hobart Hurricanes Women in the 25th game of the Women’s Big Bash League 2020 at home. The Sixers are looking in good form at the moment and sit on the second spot on the points table after their win over Brisbane Heat Women in the last game. The Hobart Hurricanes Women also registered their first win of the season against Melbourne Renegades Women in the last game.
In head to head contests between the two sides Sydney Sixers Women have clearly had the edge winning eleven out of the twelve games between the two sides. This would make the side very confident in this game. Hurricanes will have to get over the mental obstacle in this game and it would require lot of heart from the Hobart girls to cause an uptset.
Ellyse Perry’s side is continuing with its good show in the tournament and they registered yet another comfortable win in the last game against Brisbane Heat Women which they won by 24 runs. They have now moved to the second spot on the points table and shall look to move to the top with a win here. They have an impressive record against the Hobart Hurricanes and Perry would look to retain it.
They have a strong opening pair in Ellyse and Alyssa Healy and both the girls provided a good start in the last game and shall look for something similar here. Marizanne Kapp, Ashleigh Gardner and Erin Burns have played steadily in the middle order so far and the side would expect them to play a good hard here. Dane van Niekerk can hit the ball far and this makes this batting line-up very strong.
Kapp and Perry have done well with the new ball through this tournament bowling economical spells and picking wickets. The side would hope for something similar from them. Hayley Silver-Holmes and Gardener have been expensive and need to get their line right. With Stella Campbell, Erin Burns and van Niekerk in the side they have good depth in the attack.

It was finally a good day for Corinne Hall’s side as they registered their first win of the season against the Melbourne Renegades Women by 9 wickets. The win would have lifted the shoulders in the side after their indifferent form in the first four games. It is still a tough ask for the team in this game as their record against the Sydney Sixers has been bad. Hall would look to turn it around in this game.
Naomi Stalenberg and Rachel Priest played well in the last game and the side would look for a similar start from them in this game. The middle order is packed with good players like Nicola Carey, Hayley Matthews and Hall and they will look to make good contributions in this game. In Sasha Moloney and Chloe Tryon the side is blessed to have good hitters down the order.
Their bowlers did a marvellous job in the last game with Belinda Vakarewa and Matthews demolishing the top order. They will need to do something similar against Sixers’ batters. Brooke Hepburn and Tryon leaked runs but they will look for a better show here. Nicola Carey and Moloney are known for bowling tight spells and they need to contain the run flow here.

The skies over Sydney would be overcast on November 07 and this would make the conditions tough for batting. There are chances of showers during the game and hence batters would have to look at building partnerships. It isn’t expected to be a high scoring wicket and a score of 140 runs should make the side batting first happy.
North Sydney Oval, Sydney is a small ground but the pitch here has always been known to offer seam and swing. Fast bowlers have done well and batters who play their time on the wicket have been able to score runs. It isn’t the best venue for the spinners and they need to make good use of the variety to pick wickets here.
The pitch offers lot for the bowlers in the first half as there is juice underneath and the conditions become better to bat as the game progresses. Also there are predictions for rains during the game which will help the side batting second. Hence we believe the captains shouldn’t have any hesitation in bowling first here.
Hobart Hurricanes have finally managed to get the monkey off their back with a win in the last game but the side still has several issues as far as the form of their batters is concerned. They will have to overcome this problem to win here. Sydney Sixers Women look in good form and haven’t lost a game so far in the season. Their record against Hurricanes is highly impressive and this would make them favorites in this game.
