Bet NowIt is the 44th game of the Women’s Big Bash League 2020 and the Sydney Thunder Women would take on the Melbourne Renegades Women. Sydney Thunder has hit a road block and the side has lost the last three games in a row and they will be looking to strike form here. As for the Melbourne Renegades they registered a rare win in the last game and this would have surely boosted morale for the side.
Sydney Thunder has dominated Melbourne Renegades over the years and they have won eight out of the last ten games. This would make the side very confident going into this contest. Renegades have had lots of trouble with the consistency of their players and have to come up with an impressive show to win this one.
Rachael Haynes’ side seems to have lost its way in the most crucial phase of the tournament. They have lost the last three games and currently seem to be struggling with their form and confidence. The side lost the last game against Perth Scorchers by 34 runs in what was another poor show from their batters. They need to regroup and play well to win this game and move up on the points table.
Openers Haynes and Tammy Beaumont missed out in the last game and the side would like to see a good show from them here. Heather Knight has done well at No. 3 and needs to build partnerships alongside Phoebe Litchfield and Sammy-Jo Johnson. Down the order the likes of Tahlia Wilson and Rachel Trenaman shall look to score quick runs going into this game.
Shabnim Ismail and Samantha Bates will have to hit form in the game for the side to win. They haven’t quite lived up to their reputation. Hannah Darlington impressed in the last game and the side would have similar expectations from her here. In Lauren Smith and Knight they have good depth in the attack.

Amy Satterthwaite did manage to cause a major upset as they won the last game against the Melbourne Stars Women in the Super Over. It has otherwise been a poor season for the side as they have managed just two wins in their ten games so far. They have lost all hopes of making it to the next round and shall look to restore pride with a win here.
The side would need a good start from Lizelle Lee and Sophie Molineux as they haven’t been in great form so far. Josephine Dooley has played well and the side would have big expectations from her at No. 3. Courtney Webb played a match winning knock in the last game and shall have to do well along with Satterthwaite, Carly Leeson and Amy Yates down the order.
Their bowling attack has had a tough season so far and the side would expect an economical start from Lea Tahuhu and Molineux here. They have to strike early for the side to challenge their tough opponents. Molly Strano, Leeson, Makinley Blows and Ella Hayward have to play the containing role well in this game.

The skies over Sydney would be slightly cloudy on November 17 and batting conditions won’t be easy here. Batters would have to be cautious with their shot selection in this game as the bowlers are likely to get good returns from the track. The side batting first here would be happy with a score in the range of 140 runs.
Sydney Showground Stadium’s pitch has slowed down in the last few games and this has made life difficult for the batters here. Fast bowlers have done well here at the venue and so have the spinners who find good turn and bounce on the surface. Batters who stick their ground at this venue have done well.
The conditions in Sydney haven’t been in favor of the batters and bowlers have done well here in this season. Sides have struggled to judge a good score batting first. This would be on the minds of both the captains at the toss and the side winning it is most likely to opt for bowling first.
Melbourne Renegades Women have failed to execute their plans in most games this season. The side has suffered with the consistency of its players who have been in and out of form. They will need to play well as a unit to win here. Sydney Thunder Women have struggled in the last three games but the side would still fancy its chances against Renegades. They have a good record against them and this would make Thunder favorites here.
