Perth Scorchers Women to win
Tournament: WOMENS BIG BASH LEAGUE 2021 | Format: T20 | Venue: Karen Rolton Oval, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowWe are into the 41st game of the Women’s Big Bash League 2021 and the Sydney Thunder Women would be up against Perth Scorchers Women. Sydney Thunder Women went down to the Adelaide Strikers Women in the last game and ended all their hopes of making it to the next round. Perth Scorchers Women registered a massive win against the Melbourne Stars Women in the last game.
The Sydney Thunder Women haven’t been able to compete in the tournament. In the nine games the side has played they have managed only two wins. Their record against the Perth Scorchers Women isn’t encouraging either and the side shall have to come up with a grand show in this game to restore lost pride.
Hannah Darlington’s side is out of contention for the playoffs. They have had a poor season and come here with an 18-run loss against the Adelaide Strikers Women in the last game. Their batters and bowlers have failed to play complementary roles so far and the Darlington would be hoping for a good show here which would help heal some of the wounds.
Tahlia Wilson and Smriti Mandhana shall need to provide a good start as they have been on and off with their form. In the middle order, the side would like to see partnerships between Phoebe Litchfield, Sammy-Jo Johnson, and Isabelle Wong who played a blinder in the last game. The likes of Deepti Sharma and Darlington haven’t been consistent and there would be huge expectations from them down the order.
Their bowlers had a poor outing against the Adelaide Strikers and apart from Isabelle Wong all of them went for runs. Wong and Samantha Bates shall need to get early wickets to put Scorchers Women under pressure. Sharma along with Darlington, Lauren Smith, and Sammy-Jo Johnson must bowl tight spells for the side to pose a challenge in this game.

Sophie Devine’s side made a strong statement in the last game against the Melbourne Stars Women winning it by 10 wickets. The side had made a poor start to the season but currently looks in great form winning three of their last four games. Devine shall look to ride the momentum and improver her side’s position on the points table with a big win in this game.
Sophie Devine and Beth Mooney are at their best and the side would like to see an electrifying start from them in this game. The middle-order has also scored runs in the last few games and the likes of Chamari Athapaththu, Mathilda Carmichael and Heather Graham would look to put up a good show here. In Lisa Griffith, Marizanne Kapp, and Alana King the team has good depth in the batting department.
Kapp has been excellent with the ball, and she would look to get early wickets sharing the new ball with Taneale Peschel. In the middle overs Devine, Heather Graham, and Alana King also bowled well in the last game. The presence of Lilly Mills and Lisa Griffith adds variety to their bowling attack.

There are predictions for overcast skies and rains in Adelaide on November 11 and the conditions are expected to be challenging for the batters. Fast bowlers would enjoy bowling in these conditions. The side that bats first in the game would be happy to get to a score of 160 runs.
Karen Rolton Oval, Adelaide is a small park, and the shorter square boundaries allow batters to score runs easily on this surface. It has been a happy hunting ground for the fast bowlers in the past. Spinners haven’t enjoyed much success as the small size of the ground makes it very challenging for them to blow.
In the last four games played at this venue, the sides chasing the score have registered big wins. There is assistance for the bowlers in the first half and the batting conditions ease in the second innings. The side winning the toss here would have no hesitation in opting to bowl first.
Sydney Thunder Women have been in poor form since the start of the season. Their batting and bowling have been inconsistent, and the side would need a complete team effort to win this game. Perth Scorchers Women on the other hand come here full of confidence with a big win. Their bowlers have been in perfect form for the moment and the side would start favorites in this game.
