Tournament: Abu Dhabi T10 League 2021-22 | Format: T10 | Venue: Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowWe are into the Eliminator game of the Abu Dhabi T10 League and Team Abu Dhabi would face an uphill challenge against the Bangla Tigers. Team Abu Dhabi lost their last game against the Delhi Bulls and this would hurt their confidence. Bangla Tigers come into this contest with a big victory against the Northern Warriors.
Team Abu Dhabi hasn’t shown the kind of form in the second half of the tournament like they had done in the first half. They have lost the last three out of five games they have played and their bowlers lack form at the moment. The Tigers too have had their struggles in recent games. Given the stakes involved, we expect to see a good contest here.
Liam Livingstone’s side suffered a 49-run loss in the last game against the Bangla Tigers and has been forced to play in the Eliminator. The side which had started with five straight wins has paid the price for experimentation or else would have easily finished among top position on the points table. They would need to field their strongest XI in this game to overcome the competition thrown at them by the Bangla Tigers.
Paul Stirling has not made runs in the last few games and he would have to strike form in this game opening the batting with Phillip Salt. Livingstone has batted well, and the side would like to see a good show from him and Chris Gayle in the middle order. Colin Ingram, Jamie Overton, and Danny Briggs are powerful strikers of the ball and they would look to play well in the final overs of the game.
Their bowling has been their weak link and apart from Marchant de Lange other bowlers haven’t done well. Sheldon Cottrell would have to do well sharing the new ball with de Lange. Naveen-ul-Haq has been out of form and the side would expect a better show from him. Overton, Livingstone, and Briggs must bowl better lines for the side to win.

Faf du Plessis’ side has done well to be here after a poor start in the tournament. It was a clinical show by the side in the last game against the Northern Warriors where they won by 30 runs. The side has its batsmen Faf du Plessis’ side em in good form and they would look to make good use of it here and move on to the 2nd Qualifier.
The opening pair of Johnson Charles and Hazratullah Zazai looks in good form and they would aim to exploit Team Abu Dhabi’s weakness in bowling. Faf du Plessis has to deliver in the middle order along with Will Jacks and Will Smeed. Benny Howell, James Faulkner, and Isuru Udana add good firepower to the side down the order.
Faulkner has been excellent with the new ball and he would aim to strike early with Tom Hartley who looked good in the last game. Luke Fletcher and Benny Howell would have an important role in this game. Udana has been expensive and the side would like him to bowl better lines in this must-win game.

It would be a warm and comfortable evening in Abu Dhabi on December 3rd and the skies would be clear. The wicket is expected to be flat and the ball would come onto the bat nicely allowing batsmen to play their strokes easily. The side batting first would need 135 runs on the board to feel comfortable.
Sheikh Zayed Stadium is a large ground but it has a flat surface and fast outfield where batsmen have scored lots of runs easily in the past. The bowling conditions are difficult for the fast bowlers and they go for runs. Spinners who toss the ball up and get turn have done well at this venue.
In this format, we have seen more than two-thirds of games being won by sides that chase the score. Batting first and setting up a score here is always a challenge as the knowledge of a target helps batsmen. The side winning the toss in this game shall have little hesitation in bowling first.
It would be a high-pressure contest as the side losing here would have to pack their bags and leave. Team Abu Dhabi has done extremely well with the bat but their bowlers haven’t lived up to the expectation which would be worrying the side in this game. The Bangla Tigers on the other hand would come here with their confidence high. They have momentum on their side and this would make them favourites to win this contest.
Our Prediction is for Bangla Tigers to win!
