The Blaze Women continue their dominant run in the season with their third win in a row, chasing down a competitive target to defeat Warwickshire Women by 4 wickets at Edgbaston.
After winning the toss and choosing to field first, their bowlers were taken to the cleaners by the Warwickshire openers, who added 95 runs in 10.2 overs. However, Georgia Elwiss put the brakes on by picking up the wicket of Meg Austin. From there on, spinners Lucy Higham (2/16) and Charli Knott (1/31) contained the runs, and Grace Ballinger was exceptional in the death overs, finishing with figures of 3/24.
The run chase was anchored by a captain's knock from Marie Kelly, who struck a fluid 45 runs off 32 balls. Charli Knott provided excellent support at the top of the order with 27 runs, and Georgia Elwiss added a steady 20. When a few late wickets fell, Emma Jones kept her cool, smashing an unbeaten 27 runs off just 16 balls to guide her team across the finish line in the final over.
The Blaze Women despite missing their regular skipper Kirstie Gordon, Kathryn Bryce and Sarah Bryce still look a dominant side but there is some issue with their new ball bowling as they have been expensive over the last two matches an area they will look to rectify.

Durham Women head into this contest on the back of a previous defeat but bounced back instantly, securing a comfortable 27-run victory over Warwickshire Women at the Riverside Ground.
After electing to bat first, Durham posted a competitive total of 140-5 in their 20 overs. The innings was anchored beautifully by Bess Heath, who smashed a brilliant, career-best 61 off just 39 balls, while Emily Windsor played a steady supporting role with 31.
In reply, Durham’s bowling unit produced a thoroughly professional performance to completely stifle the opposition. The bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals, never letting the batters build any momentum.
Mady Villiers (2-23), Katie Levick (2-23), Sophia Turner (2-13), and Heather Graham (2-23) all struck twice, successfully rolling the visitors over for 113 in 18.1 overs to cap off a dominant team display.
Durham's bowling unit has been top notch this season led by Heather Graham who has picked up 7 wickets in 3 matches and she has also made an impact in the lower order with the bat as well.
