ICC Women`s World Cup has arrived with much speculation and jubilation with a huge spike of audience viewership. Thailand Women`s team make their first World Cup appearance and play against the West indies in their debut match. They finished runners-up in the eight-team ICC qualifiers tournament to reach the World Cup.
West Indies team on the other hand directly qualified for the World Cup and will look to win the tournament against the Thailand team. West Indies will fancy themselves against the newbie Thailand but will need to care so that complacency does not creep in.
West Indies is led by their star all-rounder Stefanie Taylor and she will look to inspire her team to qualify for the semi-finals for their group. Britney Cooper and Lee-Ann Kirby are expected to open the batting followed by their skipper at No.3 position. All-rounders Deandra Dottin, Hayley Mathews, and Chedean Nation form an excellent middle-order batting line-up giving good depth in both batting and bowling department.
Shakera Salmen, Lee-Ann Kirby, and Shamile Coneel will form the pace bowling attack of the team and are a bit less experienced. Anisa Mohammed, Afy Fletcher, and Hayley Mathews together form one of the most destructive spin bowling trio among the teams.

Chanida Sutthiruang – Chanidu had a good game against the Kiwis in the practice match scoring 36 runs and taking 2 wickets with the ball in hand. She will look to continue her good showing with the ball and bat in this match.
Nattaya Boochatham – Boochatham is the leading wicket-taker for Thailand in T20UIs with 48 scalps and will look to reach 50 wickets in this match. She has also scored 361 runs with the bat to help the team`s batting.
