Titans come into this game with confidence of having won their last game comfortably against the Cape Cobras while Dolphins lost their last game against the Lions.

Titans Preview

It was a clinical performance by Farhaan Behardien’s side in their last game against the Cape Cobras where they dominated the game throughout. They were unlucky to lose against the Warriors in their opening game of the season in a rain affected game. The side would be extremely confident going into the next game. 

Henry Davids and Diego Rosier played well in the last game to see their side home chasing a modest total. Tony de Zorzi failed to convert his start in the last game but he looks in good form at the moment. Theunis de Bruyn also did well in the last game. The side has a strong batting line-up in Grant Thomson, Farhaan Behardien and Rubin Hermann and they would fancy scoring against the Dolphins’ bowling attack. 

After the ordinary performance in the first game their bowlers did well in the last match. Gregory Mahlokwana and Shaun von Berg bowled extremely well. Grant Thomson, Eldred Hawken and Junior Dala complete a strong bowling attack for the side and would be tough to score against in the upcoming game.

Dolphins Preview

Khaya Zondo’s side suffered a huge defeat against the Lions in the last game where they were unable to chase 160 runs to win the game. This after the side had defeated Knights in their opening game of the season. Zondo would want his side to do well in the next game and win it. 

Morne van Wyk and Marques Ackerman were the only batsmen who did well in the last game and Prenelan Subrayen played a good knock towards the end of the innings. Sarel Erwee who did well in the last game failed against the Lions. The team would be expecting better show from the likes of Sibonelo Makhanya, Zondo and Cody Chetty in the next game and expect to win it. 

Their bowlers had a mixed bag of performance in the last game. Keshav Maharaj and Prenelan Subrayen bowled well to keep the scoring rate under check. Lot would depend on the performance of Robbie Frylinck, Daryn Dupavillon and Lwandiswa Zuma as they were unable to keep up the pressure on the opponents in the last game.

 There is prediction for heavy showers at Benoni on the 12th of April and we might see a rain curtailed ground. There is lot of moisture on the surface which will prevent the ball from coming onto the bat. The side batting first would eye a total in excess of 160 runs as this will put them in a comfortable position.

It is a perfect venue for T20 games and on a good day batsmen always take advantage of the smaller size of the park at Willowmoore Park, Benoni.
