Reigning Champions Trinbago Knight Riders will be looking to start their season on a good note when they face St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the opening game of Caribbean Premier League in Trinidad on Wednesday.

In their previous meeting between both sides last season, Trinbago comes out on top in both the games. Last season, Trinbago Knight Riders dominated the competition and defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors to clinch their third CPL crown. Dwayne Bravo-led unit will be looking to make it three in a row after winning the competition in 2017 and 2018.

On the other hand, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots played well and missed out on playing the finals of the competition last year. The side suffered defeat at the hands of Trinbago Knight Riders in the Qualifier 2 game played at Tarouba.

Defending Champions will be looking to get off to a decent start in this year’s competition. The side has been the most successful franchise in the history of the competition. New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham and Pakistani pace bowler Mohammad Hasnain are new inclusion in the squad for this year’s competition. In the batting department, the home side will be heavily depending on Colin Munro, Kieron Pollard, and Darren Bravo to deliver runs in this game.
