United States Women would have their backs to the wall going into the 10th game of ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2021 where they meed confident Thailand Women. The United States suffered its second consecutive loss of the season going down against Zimbabwe Women in the last game. Thailand Women on the other hand come here with a win over Bangladesh Women. 

United States Women have struggled with their batting and the side has made a total of 184 runs in the two games they have played. Their top order has been in poor form and this is hurting the side. Thailand Women are a win away from a berth in the next round and it would be interesting if the United States can cause an upset in this game.

All doesn’t seem to be well in the camp for the side. They replaced Gargi Bhogle as skipper in the last game and have given Sindhu Sriharsha the responsibility to lead the side. Though the side fought well against Zimbabwe Women, they went down by 1 wicket. Sriharsha would look forward to a better show from her players in this game and win it to keep their hopes alive for the rest of the tournament. 

Openers Bhogle and Mahika Kandanala need to convert their starts as Thailand Women have a strong bowling attack. The middle-order has failed in the tournament and runs would be needed from Sriharsha at No. 3 and she would have to anchor the innings along with Lisa Ramjit and Shebani Bhaskar. They would also need contributions down the order from Anika Kolan, Moksha Chaudhary, and Tara Norris.

Tara Norris and Sara Farooq bowled brilliantly in the last game with the new ball and similar spells would be expected from them in this game. Chaudhary's 4-wicket spell would add to her confidence and she would have an important role to play in the middle overs. The side would need good support from  Geetika Kodali and Akshatha Rao in this game.

Sornnarin Tippoch and Nattakan Chantam set up a good opening wicket stand in the last game and they would look for a similar start here. Nannapat Koncharoenkai and Chaiwai add solidity to the middle order and a good show would be expected from them.
