RCC head into the contest back off a tough loss in a rain-affected encounter against Excelsior. They batted first and posted a challenging total of 167. Muhammad Asif Gondal scored 50 off 39 balls and Zulfiqar contributed 39 runs. Rotterdam failed to get advantage and Excelsior crossed the line, thanks to the D/L method. Shafiq bagged two for nine runs in three overs. Apart from him, other bowlers were disappointed. 

RCC earlier defeated Sparta by just one run in a low-scoring encounter. They were bowled out on 120 runs with 28 balls left in the innings. Sparta were restricted to 119/7 in 20 overs. Shoaib Minhas scored a half-century in the opening game. RCC will be facing Hermes-DVS in their third assignment of the competition. Victory on Saturday will lift their confidence.
