The Canada T20 Niagara Fest 2020 will kick off with the Vancouver Stars taking on the Toronto Tigers in the first game of the tournament. It will be the first game of the tournament and both the sides would look to get off to a flying start. It is a short tournament and there isn’t much of room for error. 
The Vancouver Stars are coming in with several experienced players and this will give the side lot of confidence. Bhupinder Singh will be leading a strong side in this game. They are already being seen as one of the strongest units and bring in players who have played decent amount of T20 cricket. The skipper would want his players not to be complacent in this game and start the tournament with a win. 
Bhupinder Singh and Ravinderpal Singh form a strong opening pair for the side and they will look to provide the side with a flying start. In the middle order they have good hitters of the ball in Gurtej Singh, Sarbjit Singh and Vansh Randhawa. These players will look to stick to their natural game which should see them succeed. 
The bowling attack also looks pretty strong with Preet Chahal and Kuljot Singh starting the proceedings for the side. Sukhneep Sandhu and Manpreet Khaira are known to be good bowlers in the domestic circuit and they would look to exploit the lack of experience among their opponents.

This will be a big challenge for Kunal Kumar as he goes out to lead a young side into this game. Most of his players are young and they would be up against a team that has some of the biggest national stars. Kumar would want his players to approach the game with positivity and put their best foot forward. 
The side will look for a good start from Kunal Kumar and Namdeep Singh, the mainstay of the batting for the side. With relatively inexperienced players in the line-up they will need to fire in this game. Muhammad Yousaf and Habib Ahmed will also need to play well in the middle and set the platform for Sarward Hassan and Sanjay Gulati to do the big hitting in the final overs. 
In terms of their bowling attack the side is short of experience and they will look at Yug Khattra and Kunal Kumar to strike early with the new ball. The opponent has a very strong batting line-up and they will need to inflict early damage. Satvir Warring and Sapinder Singh will look to bowl tidy overs in the middle to keep the scoreboard under check.

It will be a warm evening with predictions for light showers on July 16 at the venue. The pitch is expected to have a tinge of grass cover with cricket not having been played for a while here. Fast bowlers would get some movement off the surface. Batsmen would need to be cautious and get their eyes in. The side that bats first here would be targeting a score in excess of 140 runs to feel comfortable on this surface.

The Niagara Cricket Centre is a small ground and this allows the batsmen to score quick runs. The square boundaries are little deep in comparison to those at the front and the back. This allows the batsmen to play big shots without much fear. The pitch here has been conducive to fast bowling and the spinners also get some turn and bounce as the game progresses.
