Bet NowBirmingham Bears would be taking on Glamorgan at home in the next game of the Central Group of the T20 Blast 2020. It will be a very important game for both the sides. For Glamorgan who have lost the last three games this would be a do-or-die contest in their bid to keep hopes of a quarterfinal berth alive. Birmingham Bears on the other hand would like to win and move up on the points table.
Glamorgan is struggling with its form at the moment. The side has lost the last three games where they failed to execute their plans well and shall be aiming to reverse this trend with a win in this game. Bears are playing at home and having already defeated Glamorgan earlier shall carry lot of confidence into this game. This being an important game for both the sides we expect to see a good contest
It has been a blow-hot and blow-cold season for Will Rhodes’ side so far. They won by 4 runs under the DLS method in their last game against Somerset. With two wins they are placed at the fourth position in the points table and they will need to win this one to open their chances for a berth in the quarterfinal. They had defeated Glamorgan in the earlier game and this will serve as a confidence booster.
The side will expect a good start from Ed Pollock and Ian Bell. The pair has made runs earlier in the season and look in good form. Rhodes and Sam Hain played well in the last game and together with Adam Hose add good balance to their batting. In Michael Burgess and Tim Bresnan they have good batting talent down the order and both these players have good hitting abilities.
Olly Stone and Tim Bresnan were experience with the new ball in the last game and they will look to improve their performance in thus game. Henry Brookes and Jeetan Patel bowled well in the last game and Patel’s experience adds strength to this bowling attack. Jacob Lintott bowled tight spell in the last game and he will look to carry on with the same show.

Chris Cooke’s side went down by 4 wickets in the last game against Northamptonshire Steelbacks. This was their third loss in a row which has pushed them down to the fifth spot on the points table. The side still has a chance of making it to the next round and shall need to play exceptionally well in the next game.
Their batting looks good at the moment with openers Nicholas Selman and Daniel Douthwaite in good form. They will look to provide a good start in the next game. Andy Balbirnie hit form in the last game which is great news for the side. In Owen Morgan, Coioke and Callum Taylor the side possesses good strength down the order and shall look to use it in this game.
They will need to make improvements on the bowling end they haven’t been consistent. Prem Sisodiya and Andrew Salter did well in the last game but others have leaked runs. Douthwaite and Marchant de Lange will have to do well in the middle overs. Taylor, Graham Wagg and Ruaidhri Smith add good variety to this bowling attack.

The weather would be partly cloudy over Birmingham on September 11 and this is likely to make batting tough initially on this surface. Bowlers would enjoy good assistance in the early overs. Any score of 160 and above would be good one to defend with a disciplined bowling effort.
Edgbaston, Birmingham is a venue that has always helped the bowlers. There is lot of bounce and movement off the surface for the fast bowlers and spinners also enjoy bowling here as the large dimensions of the ground make it tough for the batsmen to hit boundaries. Batsmen who spend their time on this wicket have done well.
The pitch here has always something for the bowlers in the early overs which makes batting bit of a challenge. In the last few seasons most teams have won game here chasing the score being able to pace their innings well. Thus we expect to see the side winning the toss bowling first here.
Glamorgan are in extremely poor form at the moment. Since their win against Gloucestershire the side hasn’t been able to live up to its own expectations. They have allowed the games to slip away from their hands and this has hurt their confidence. Birmingham Bears aren’t at their best yet but the side is in a better state for now. They will be playing at home and know these conditions well and this will put them ahead of their opponents at the start of the game.
