Carlos Brathwaite would be pleased with the performance of his team. They have won three games in a row and shall be aiming for the top spot on the points table with a win in this game. It was a good show by the lower middle order in the 5-wicket win against Durham Cricket. Brathwaite would like his players to continue with the same momentum and achieve their fourth straight win.  

Paul Stirling has been in good form, but the side would like to see Jacob Bethell convert his starts into a big score. Robert Yates, Alex Davies, and Adam Hose are good players in the middle order, and they would look to set up a strong platform. Brathwaite and Chris Benjamin are good hitters of the ball down the order and add firepower to this batting line-up.  

Henry Brookes has done well with the ball, and he will aim for early wickets sharing the new ball with Jacob Bethell. Danny Briggs is an experienced bowler, and he will have an important role to play here. Craig Miles, Jacob Lintott, and Brathwaite complement each other, and they would look to trouble the Foxes who have some of their key players in poor form.

Colin Ackermann’s side must deliver a strong performance in this game. They have lost three of the four games they have played. Their bowlers had a poor outing in the last game as the side conceded 227 runs against Northamptonshire Steelbacks losing it by 42 runs. Ackermann would like to see a more spirited show from his bowlers here as they take on a strong opposition.  

Scott Steel is looking in good form and he will have to set up a good opening wicket stand with Hamish Rutherford. Ackermann is an experienced batsman, and he will need to steer the innings in the middle with Arron Lilley and Rishi Patel. Ben Mike, Lewis Hill, and Regan Ahmed make this a formidable batting line-up and the side would be aiming for a big score in this game.  

Their bowlers were hit to all corners of the park in the last game. Steel and Callum Parkinson will have to bowl tight lines in this game and put the Bears under pressure. Naveen-ul-Haq must make use of the wicket and bowl in the right areas. Ben Mike, Ahmed, and Roman Walker haven’t been in the best of form, and they need to stand up to the challenge in this game.

The ball comes onto the bat nicely and this has allowed batsmen to put up big scores on the board.  The large dimensions of the ground also offer spinners a good opportunity to experiment with flight and turn.

It is one of the best batting surfaces in England and we have seen sides put up big scores and defend them successfully. There shouldn’t be any doubt on the minds of the two sides at the toss and the side winning the spin of the coin would opt to bat first in this game.
