Tournament: CSA T20 Challenge 2019 | Format: T20 International | Venue: St George's Park, Port Elizabeth | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowThe 16th game of the CSA T20 Challenge 2019 would be a very important one for the home side Warriors as they take on Cape Cobras at their home ground St George's Park, Port Elizabeth. Warriors after their brilliant win in the first game haven’t managed to win any more with three of the five games being washed away. Cape Cobras have looked the best side so far winning four out of their five games.
Cape Cobras have an impressive record against the Warriors and had won the last eight out of the ten games including one earlier in the season. Warriors would be little rusty having seen so many games being washed away and it remains to be seen if they are able to win the next one.
Three games washed away in rain isn’t something any side likes to see and JJ Smuts’ would be struggling with their momentum now. Their last two games against Lions and Dolphins have been washed away and with just one win in five games this season the side isn’t in the best of form. Having lost to the Cape Cobras earlier the side would be hoping for the best.
The last time the side batted against Lions where their openers Matthew Breetzke and Gihahn Cloete didn’t live up to the expectations. Marco Marais played a great innings towards the end but rest of the batting failed. People like Lesiba Ngoepe, Sinethemba Qeshile and Smuts will need to showcase their best talent as they play the next game.
The bowlers haven’t delivered for the Warriors till now in the season and the form of Andrew Birch and Lutho Sipamla has been a worrying factor. The fate of the side depends on how these two perform given their skills. The side would also look for better bowling from Jade de Klerk and Sisanda Magala in the upcoming game.

Rory Kleinveldt would be a happy man leading the Cape Cobras who have won their last three games and four out of five this season. A close win against the Knights would have given the side lot of confidence. The skipper would fancy winning the next game against the Warriors against whom they had won earlier in the season.
The side has a strong batting line-up and they would be looking to do well in the next game. David Bedingham made a wonderful fifty in the last game and found good support from George Linde and Vernon Philander towards the end. This after Hashim Amla and Janneman Malan fell cheaply. Malan has been the leading scorer in the season and he would look to make a big score in the next game.
Rory Kleinveldt has been brilliant with the ball in this season so far and bowled well in the last game. Vernon Philander is also bowling economically in the season. Tladi Bokako and Gerorge Linde complete a good bowling unit for the side and they would look to repeat their success in the next game.

The weather at Port Elizabeth on the 20th of April is expected to be overcast and hence it will offer assistance to the fast bowlers. Due to the rain over the last many days the pitch isn’t expected to be the easiest one to bat on any score above 150 runs would be a fighting total on this surface.
Venue
The pitch at St George's Park, Port Elizabeth has always offered great bargain to the fast bowlers as they get good bounce and carry. Batsmen find it difficult to hit through the line at this ground and have to set their eyes before taking on the bowlers who have the upper
The overcast conditions will make it a good surface to bowl on and there are chances of rain as we have already seen in several games in the tournament. The captain winning the toss would like to make use of the conditions bowling first and dismiss the opposition for a small total.
Cape Cobras have had a brilliant season so far and have won four out of their five games. They look in good form both with the bat and the ball. Warriors on the other hand have so far won just one game and seen three of their games being washed away. They had lost against the Cape Cobras when the two sides met earlier in the tournament. This definitely makes Cape Cobras the favorites to win this game.
